First time here today and will definitely be back when I'm in the area. Cherry blossom iced latte was delicious - not too sweet and so flavorful! Appreciated the quick and friendly service, along with the great coffee. Support local!
This is the perfect neighborhood spot to have coffee and a light snack or sandwich. Family friendly and a great bargain

I genuinely think it’s impossible to be upset at Essentials. I walk in there and immediately feel better. The variety+quality of the menu, the amazing baristas, and incredible ambiance come together to create a very happy place for me<3 also the lavender iced latte is to DIE FOR

I needed a delicious breakfast this morning, and for the first time found this place on Ubereats. I was so excited, as I love good coffee and it's even better when someone brings it to me! I usually just drink plain black coffee but I like a Flat White, and theirs is excellent. I never add syrup or sweetener but the Flavor choice was required and I felt fancy today anyway, so I tried their housemade Brown Sugar Cinnamon flavor and it was delicious. Very sweet to me, I will note to use just half the normal amount next time, but it was a tasty treat and got my morning started right. In my typical "One of Everything" style of trying new places, I overordered. I got the Everything Breakfast Bagel Sandwich with added bacon, and it was HUGE and filling! Fresh, fluffy scrambled eggs, wilted spinach (intentionally, not like old spinach), a nice slice of tomato, and a thick schmear of delectable garlic herb cream cheese. Honestly it didn't need the bacon, which was super-thin sliced, so save your $2.50 for something else. This sandwich was so hearty I could only finish half. But now that I have cleaned house, I am ready for the other half, and talking about it is making my mouth water! I ordered the Ham and Swiss Croissant but my driver called and said they had to switch to turkey and Swiss. I sighed and said, "I'll live." and he said, "I figured you would." LOL Anyway it is super-flaky and smelled incredible but I haven't actually tried it yet. From all appearances it is going to be light, crisp, flaky, and again quite filling. It could only be better if it was ham. Apparently that's a bestseller there. Gotta get up pretty early to get that one! This was a delightful way to start my day, and now I'm going to finish my bagel! Yum!
Coffee is very good. Ordered the grilled cheese which would be delicious if they hadn't poured salt all over the bread. Cheese is already salty, no more extra salt should be needed tbh

A cozy little spot to get a morning coffee. The environment inside is welcoming and well decorated. The prices are fair and the coffee tastes great!
This place is absolutely lovely!! It’s got a great feel, and a great staff. Fantastic coffee and wonderful pastries rounds it out for the perfect local coffee shop!
I've really enjoyed adding EC to my morning routine. Most of the staff is very warm with great southern hospitality and the food is great and more than reasonably priced. However, this is NOT a place you go if you're in a rush. Each time I've gone, I've always waited too long for simple coffee's even when the shop is almost empty. They do offer text-to-order service that I used for the first time (which, I understand can contribute to the volume even if the shop is empty) but even then, my simple order wasn't started until after I got there and paid for it. This room for opportunity doesn't impact my assessment of their great hospitality and quality, I just will probably not be visiting during the work week anymore.
Just went here for the first time we were only 1 of 2 people in line I ordered a smoothie after my order a few people walked in and I waited nearly 20 minutes for my drink while every other person received their order first after I asked about my smoothie I was told they were working on it just to be disappointed by the most generic smoothie ever don't waste your time here. Edit: I understand that it was the first day of elementary school but that doesn't excuse serving 6 customers that walked in 10 minutes after my order was placed before my order is even started
Hands down best coffee shop in the area. They remember my name and drink everytime I walk in. Great atmosphere and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!
The Turkey and Cheese croissant loaded with the avocado and tomato onion jam was delicious!! The coffee is typical coffee shop quality - but it is very conveniently located. Definitely get the rewards punch card to earn a free drink!
This coffee shop is cute, the coffee and breakfast is good; however, the few times I have been in there the staff is never friendly.
I visited today with one of my daughters. We both ordered iced black tea and avocado toast. The avocado toast is served with an onion jam and it was very tasty. The server was very welcoming, and we enjoyed the atmosphere.
This was the second disappointing experience at essentials in recent months. Understandably prices have been raised significantly, but the service has been impacted as well. Both my wife and I received drinks different than we ordered. I asked for a correction, but my wife was hesitant to go back again when her drink came quite a bit later. Even when corrected, mine was very unbalanced. It seems that chocolate and coconut syrups are skimped as well as more expensive, and even an extra shot was virtually impossible to taste. I wish I could say otherwise, but we are not likely to return again.
Went here for the first time and tried a salted caramel mocha frappe. I’m in love!!! Awesome service, various coffee and flavor options, and nice cozy atmosphere. I’ll be back for sure!!
