True to its name, GORMET! This place has great food! And what a wonderful shop if you’re shopping for yourself or need a gift for someone. This is the place!!
Great place for a quick breakfast. Everything was delicious, the service was incredible and it was dog friendly. We got the cheese croissant breakfast and a spinach and feta croissant with a side of scrambled eggs. French café atmosphere and a great selection of cheese, chocolate and preserves inside the store.
Located in Little Five Points area of Columbia that's popular with USC students... this upscale grocery offers indoor/outdoor dining as well as grab and go food items, as well as large wine selection....excellent service with bustling brunch crowd...my Adult Grilled Cheese was under whelming, but everyone else in dinning party was very thrilled with their Panini sandwiches and salads
Absolutely horrible! The only thing good about our visit was the waitress. The eggs was so nasty I had to spit it out. The waffle was partially burnt. Mimosa was gross. Bacon terrible. I just hate we paid for junk!!!!!
Delightful late lunch with visiting family. Lovely day, outside seating, amazing service from server as well as cheese counter staff.
The gourmet shop is awesome! amazing food and service- never had anything on the menu I didn't like. And the shop itself is adorable and so fun to browse while waiting for you table.
Oh my this place is amazing! It was super busy but we got a table more quickly than expected. The food was exceptional and our server was super pleasant and helpful. We got some food to go from the market side of the house (shrimp salad, butternut squash soup, and a baguette) so we got to enjoy these luscious delights for a couple more days!!
OK FOLKS ! 😁 Today my friend Rod and I took a leisurely trip to Columbia SC. 👍 from Greenville SC. Thinking NOTHING would be open we accidentally came upon this Jewel of a place called The Gourmet Shop The Gourmet Shop NOT A VEGAN RESTAURANT HOWEVER TAKE A LOOK AT THEIR SEPERRATE PLANT BASED MENU! 😍😋😍😋😍 The food was awesome, the place is fantastic and the service was OUTSTANDING (thank you Jake, Jacob) and prices that I would considered reasonable. I enjoyed it so much I'm planning to take an overnight trip back to Columbia and once again experience The Gourmet Shop and to also eat at Peace Soul Vegan Restaurant 😋 😋 😋 One suggestion would be as awesome as my vegan dessert was Y'ALL need more Vegan Desserts 😋

At first glance, I though this place wasn’t worth the price, but, after seeing the area with my own eyes, I found it to be a nice, quaint eating area. The place was crowded and bustling w people. Food was very good! I got the Brie and bacon croissant w their soup of the day. I wanted the take the chance to also try their other sides— loved the pesto pasta! Planning on coming back to look at the shop sometime in the future. Note: there’s only one universal bathroom so don’t be surprised if there’s a line given how many people dine there

The presentation of the food is so fancy, cute and elegant. When I open the 📦 box the smells popped out, 😲 omg smelled so good. I will definitely have to go to the location and try a few other items and I suggest you do the same.
If you ever come here, you absolutely have to try the tomato soup. I never thought I was a fan of tomato soup, but this is the greatest tasting thing I have had here. I dunk everything in it and could drink it.
Yum! Whenever we get back to Cola, I try and hit up this spot. A great spot for a quick bite that actually serves yummy ingredients! Take a stroll through the market after eating for dessert or wine to go!

The food was delicious! Service was spot on. I would highly recommend going here. The shop itself is well worth the visit, but to get a great meal on top of that is excellent.

Great food, nice little shop, and a unacceptable bathroom situation. One bathroom total with about 4-8 people lined up. I skipped walking around the shop after our meal because of this.
We went in Sunday morning at 10 am, got seated right away. The entire staff were very nice. We drove from Charleston to see our son. Loved the atmosphere and food. We will definitely be back!
