Every one is so nice. The setting is beautiful. We can sit on the porch with our dog.
Great customer service. Definitely service with a smile.
Knowledge Perk is walking distance from USC's horseshoe and main street. The historic building was the perfect spot for a coffee shop and gives good vibes for a coffee and little bite to eat. They sell 16 oz bagged coffee beans roasted within the last two weeks and will grind them for you. I have enjoyed the Yosef Blend. They have tons of covered and uncovered outdoor seating. I wish they had more savory options for food, maybe a bagel or something house-made. The atmosphere indoors is nice but brighter than I expected for a coffee place. Finding a parking spot can be challenging, but there are a few street parking spots down Pickens Street. Most parking around the shop is reserved.
Great atmosphere. Delicious drinks.
Very nice place I tried the spinach spin wheel so good great customer service will be visiting again
Glad to have another coffee shop in Columbia!! Good coffee and really good atmosphere. Their flavors blend in with coffee very well. Plenty of parking space available too.
This house was built in 1892. It was recently renovated to a six apartment property with the first floor as a coffee shop. The atmosphere is great. Inside and out. The balcony is so refreshing. I enjoyed the fireplaces and the front door. I believe they are original to the house. The coffee was good. I had banana bread. It was very tasty and moist. The young lady at the counter was helpful and super nice. Because this establishment is new I believe everything is going to be better with time. Definitely recommend.
Love it, now we have one in Columbia SC!! Coffee time !’
Great vibe, awesome front porch, even better coffee. Best coffee shop in Cola
Great atmosphere, and the best outdoor sitting area. Definitely limited space, and COME WITH YOUR DEVICES FULLY CHARGED (not many power outlets). Coffee was 10/10!
A tad bit expensive if you ask me, I was given an upcharge for milk to be added to my iced coffee and the was literarily a "splash" and a basic cold brew ended up being almost $7.00. Seating inside is sparse and the establishment is suffering from opening pains, they were out of some menu items, and couldn't offer any hot food because their "hot plates broke". Also the front door was "broker" and couldn't close so a cold wind was blowing through the shop the whole time I was there. I'm sure this place will get better with time but I won't be returning any time soon
Great vibes in an old Victorian home with outdoor seating on the wrap around porch. I did the chai with my first time trying hemp milk. It was a solid iced chai. Very smooth. Not sure I'd choose hemp milk over oat, but it's a great rest from my many allergies. My daughters had the iced brown sugar espresso, shaken. They liked theirs. Nice staff and, even though they had a lot of customers, there was plenty of seating and really fast service. I highly recommend it.
Stopped in for coffee and dessert while visiting Columbia. SC. Excellent assortment of lattes, but very limited sugar-free options. The blueberry brûlée is delicious, but they could have offered to warm it. The staff isn't very well versed (or trained?) but they are friendly and polite. We just had to explain and/or repeat our order a number of times. All in all, 4 stars because the coffee is tasty, as were the desserts we tried and the setting/ambiance is befitting a quaint coffee bar you'd expect in an historic southern city.
Must visit for their syrups and seasonal flavors. The hazelnut syrup had a fresh, raw and nutty flavour. The coffee was smooth. They turned a house into a coffee shop. It's very cozy and comfortable. They have outdoor seating too. They have limited pastry options in case you are hungry
What a cool piece of history given new life. The location is amazing and the coffee even better! Some unusual and delicious flavors like the lavender latte I had yesterday. ☕️
Lord, I’ve been waiting for this property to become something other than a rundown Victorian-esque relic of yesteryear. The new coffee place didn’t disappoint. The decor is simple which is good. To retain the character of what it was would be kinda….uh…no. Most of us locals knew the property as a former funeral home, and there’s likely little interest to pay homage to that. What would they sell? Casket Cappuccino, Haunted Habanero Latte, or Ghost Toast? The answer is D, none of the above! The new place is well done, clean, has ample parking, and plenty of seating space. I also like that the coffee is local to South Carolina. I had the Filthy Chai (a dirty chai with two shots) which was pretty good. It came out quick and the staff was kind. I plan on visiting again.
Great space for studying but unfortunately poor quality coffee.
10/10 will be returning for sure!
Beautiful space with plenty of comfy seating. Competitive coffee pricing with several pastry options. They pulled an excellent espresso shot for me and offered a very friendly environment!
