Little hidden spot for romantic dates or early mornings to enjoy
The break options here are very light and refreshing. You get a variety of caffeine free drinks as well. I was surprised to find Hojicha green tea. It's a cozy cafe situated in the same building as Cool Beans.
Great coffee and breakfast! Friendly staff and great service :D
Seriously delish "ttlt" (tofu blt). (~$8.80). Shares a space with Cool Beans which is upstairs. Awesome menu with tons of vegetarian options. Nice place to relax and chat with some friends. Board games available, cozy chairs, good vibes!
Great local restaurant. Very nice staff and great food.
They were super friendly and their chocolate croissants are delicious!
College Grounds quietly serves the best breakfast in downtown Columbia. While people stand in line for over priced avocado toast at Soda City, you'll find me drinking a iced thai coffee and eating the best grits in Columbia. Enjoy great views of campus while enjoying the chill vibes and excellent service.
My boyfriend and I have been here several times and always enjoyed it. But recently we have attempted to come on sunday mornings twice and the door was locked and no one to be found after their time of opening at 9 am. Open sign was on but lights off behind counters and nothing set up
Food was good and cozy atmosphere.
Located on College St. between Main and Sumter streets this coffee shop is popular with university students and has a lively lunch crowd.
The grits are tasty, yet relatively expensive.
Price to portion is not good but I love the cheese grits.
I love College Grounds. I stop by every morning before work for my pick-me-up, and they never disappoint! Everyone there is super friendly and make every day brighter. You haven't lived till you've tried a pumpkin muffin or the T-Rex bowl there! Absolutely delicious!
Love this place....Food and atmosphere never disappoints. Highly recommend!!!
The grits are local, creamy, and thick, and the bacon is crispy, just the way most southerners like it. The "homemade waffle" is heated up in a toaster or microwave. Customer service is a hit-or-miss. It's been quite a few times that I've been here that a couple of the employees have grimacing look on their face, far different than their sister cafe upstairs. Even something as simple as saying, "you're welcome" is very difficult for one employee, in particular, to say. I will gladly give another star if the service improves.
Good breakfast food but a bit over priced. Service was great.
My BLT-A consisted of 2 pieces of grocery store bread, a couple of sad pieces of bacon, and a thin slice of tomato and avocado and a leaf of lettuce. My side of potato salad was a tiny little bowl of about 3 bites. For that and a glass of tea I paid $9. Way too much money for too little lackluster food.
