Hands down the best coffee shop in Newport (and probably RI). Fantastic coffee, nice selection of creative drinks as well as the classics, tasty food, impressive attention to detail, and friendly and personalized service. Jordan and his team have built up a special community vibe here. 100% recommend!

Jordan and his crew including Andy and Cameron have a fantastic shop here. Super customer-focused, great coffee and amazing specialty drinks. Truly top class service. They have a real passion for their craft and it shows.
This is the only decent coffee on the island. Bar none.
Excellent service, great coffee, the pastries look great, but i only got a banana😀. I made the mistake not telling the barista that the coffee was to go and they were totally friendly about pouring it in a to go cup for me. And I got to take the pretty picture of the cappuccino. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available.

I stopped here on my way out of newport and boy, does this place deserve 5 stars. My wife and I both got drinks, and they were stupidly good, easily the best espresso drink I've likely ever had, no joke.

Simple Merchant is on another level when it comes to coffee. Hands down the best in Rhode Island not just Newport! Every drink is dialed in to perfection but I personally love that every day there is a different rotating espresso from a top roaster for us coffee heads to try! They also have the best loyalty program and people behind the bar! Thank you all for the experience you provide!

Ordered a sea salt caramel oat latte and a burrito! Both were amazing and the burrito was huge and comes with a bag of chips. We were told the food would be a 15 minute wait but it was quicker than that and service was good.
Run don't walk to this coffee shop. They take true pride in their coffee. It's closer to an art form. Delicious, delicious, delicious. I dare you to find a better coffee shop, because you won't.
