I went back for more, specifically the Blue Ginger smoothly. It is so blue and icey cold, I wanted to know what was in it. It is the Bluegreen Algae Superfoods, which I have had before. The algae is genuinely a living food that tastes like wet plant matter, but Persephone's kitchen also adds mango, jellied ginger and date bites and cinnamon. Ginger and Cinnamon almost cancel out one another's flavor, so at first it tasted like nothing at all, but the exotic aftertaste is still with me, and my tum tum still feels spicy warm after 3 hours and a hike onto Settlers Rock and the windy Seal Cubs point. Great recipe from Persephone's kitchen. Thank you Block Island.
Best breakfast on the island. Sometimes there is a line so you may wait a bit, but it’s worth it.
This place is a hugh success Love this place....
Great food!
Ate breakfast here on my first visit in Block Island recently. The toasts on sourdough bread are outrageous. Particularly the ricotta and honey, but you can’t go wrong with any of them.
Home-like little place downtown tucked in off the street with a low-key vibe. I ordered the vegan rancheros but added an egg. It was totally delicious. I'm craving it again right now. My husband ordered the splendid eggs sandwich and loved it. Definitely a must-try when you're on Block Island.
Amazing!
This is your go to breakfast spot on Block Island. COME EARLY. Line was out the door by 8:15am on Saturdays. Cold brew coffee was excellent (coming from a picky coffee drinker). Got breakfast sandwiches and they were fresh and delicious. Also got the green smoothie, which was great. 100% Recommend, just come ealry.
Best breakfast on the island! Great coffee and specialty teas.
Popular spot. Expect to wait both in line and for our food. Wide selection of drinks, lattes, nitro, cold brew, smoothies, and kombuchas. Breakfast features sandwiches, toasts, and frittatas. Only downside to them being so busy was they lost our ticket and waited 45 minutes for our order.
Busy little hole in the wall but big on offerings. Sandwiches can be ordered with gluten free bread and they have Vegan options as well if that's your thing. The gf banana bread was really tasty. Don't be discouraged if there is a line. The line moves fairly quickly
Nice little cafe with outdoor seating area. I am a Plain Jane and had the bacon egg & cheese on ciabatta. The ciabatta was fluffy & delicious!
Tasty breakfast... Island prices $$$ but they're fast and the line moves realtively quickly
Busiest coffee house on the island! Great selection of baked goods and cooked to order entries.
So good, my first stop off the ferry each time. Long wait times but it’s worth it. Splendid Egg Sandwich is properly named. Ciabatta bread is very good. Iced teas are also good. Frittata is okay- kinda greasy. Expensive- but so is everything in Block Island.
Always await for Persephone's good food!
The breakfast here is incredible. This is our second time vacationing on Block Island and going to Persephone’s for breakfast is always a must!! We love the splendid egg sandwich but everything looks incredible! Definitely stop by!
Efficient for such a small joint. There was a massive line. I had great iced tea there and though it was humid I still enjoyed myself
Great spot! Coffee was delicious as well as the avocado toast. Very busy. Well staffed. Indoor and outdoor seating. You will find something delicious to enjoy.
Delicious fresh and varied menu in an eclectic space. Great spot for something quick and delicious.
