This place has a wall off coffee beans ready to custom grind for an excellent cup. Owners are pleasant and serve wonderful baked goods, highly recomend!!!
I've eaten here many times in the past few years, always try something different and every single thing they make is incredible. They're also very friendly! Love eating here!
One of the best restaurants in the area, PERIOD. Don’t let its appearance fool you. My husband and I try something new every time we go and it’s always amazing. The south of the border “burger” is my favorite, and the mac and cheese is seriously to die for! The staff is so friendly and it’s always such a joy to stop in.
My teen was looking for places that served afternoon tea and found this lovely cafe, so we took my grandmother on a Saturday and arrived just before noon. So many choices on the menu, but some were unavailable at the time. Everything was made to order fresh, so please be very patient as there were only two exceptionally kind people working. We ordered the bruschetta, apple walnut salad, impossible gyro, jackfruit brisket panini, as well as a freshly ground + brewed hot coffee, vanilla cortado, and iced latte. The food was absolutely amazing, portions were large, and well worth the wait. We got an Oreo sticky bun to go, but waited 15 minutes for it to come out of the oven. Most of their pastries were sold out by the time we got there, but we also arrived at the same time as a 3 person tea party reservation. Then it got busy and some people left because they didn't want to wait. Overall we spent almost 2 ½ hours there. They have an accessible entrance and very nice bathroom, but there is limited space inside so it's difficult to navigate if you have a wheelchair or mobility aid. Tables are packed together and you will brush past other people. Otherwise we had a wonderful time, highly recommend and will return again soon.
Simply incredible. This place not only has amazing, made from scratch, 100% vegan food. But the owners/operators are the sweetest and friendliest people. Absolutely recommend this place to anybody and everybody. Treat yourself. It's worth it.
Love Fortuitea! The food is excellent! The management and staff are very friendly and accommodating. There a very few Vegan options in the area and Fortuitea is a must stop! Highly recommend the Green Apple and Cheddar Panini, the meatball sliders, and the bakery treats!!
Absolutely phenomenal. kind and friendly service from warm people. The menu was heartfelt, delicious, home made Slavic soul food. Fantastic desert options. This place is a must for all Vegans and those curious about veganism and what it has to offer.
Fortuitea has the absolute best vegan food in the Pittsburgh area. We also order all our birthday cakes here. Our guests never believe the cakes are vegan!
I live out in Colorado, but had the joy of stopping here while visiting family a few months back. There’s few and far options for vegan food back home, so when I saw this spot so close to my parents’ house, I had to try it! I will start by saying the owners are an absolute delight and beyond kind. They make everything from scratch, and the love they put into their bakes it’s evident- it’s nothing short of delicious! The pepperoni rolls are to die for, and the desserts, especially the cheesecake, are sinfully good. Since returning back to Denver, I’ve been lucky to have some of favorites from the shop shipped out to me. They’ve been so kind when my mom has order goodies for me, and have even gone as far as making fresh batches and advising on shipping too. Whether you’re vegan or not, this place is absolutely worth a stop; you won’t be disappointed! I cannot say enough great things, so do yourself a favor and try it for yourself!
This is such a special place place and I'm not surprised to see glowing reviews. It can be a nightmare as a celiac AND vegan to find places I can eat where there are actual options. This place is 100% vegan and they are extremely knowledgeable and intentional with offering loads of gluten free items**. The bulk of the menu is either already gluten free or can be modified to be gluten free. Everything is made in house and the love they put into their food shows. I had a bowl of soup with GF croutons that changed my life. We also tried some starters and desserts - all amazing. The space is cozy and eclectic. This is not a place to rush through on your way to a movie. This is a place to take the time to enjoy your food and catch up. It is a slower experience and if you go in expecting that, it is wonderful. Perfect for catching up or a date. The owners are wonderful. I can't wait to go back. ** This is not a 100% gluten free space or kitchen. The kitchen is shared but the owners are highly knowledgeable about celiac needs and take care to avoid cross contamination.
We had the royal afternoon tea! The food and service was excellent! There were cookies and salad and soup and sandwiches. The cashew dill ranch dressing was very tasty, as was the garlic potato soup- it had homemade garlic bread croutons in it! Definitely would recommend!
Fortuitea is an absolute must in the PGH area! Family run, and made fresh, if you're a vegan, get over here! Fresh coffee and teas ground and brewed to order make for an excellent overall experience. You feel like you're in a friend's kitchen!
Nice atmosphere, wooden floors very cozy like a gramma’s kitchen. Chose lapsang tea from about 3-4 dozen kinds, along with tomato basil soup with a grilled cheese and mushroom sandwich. Very filling, good portion size. Had the tiramisu, which had more of the consistency of a cake and very heavy with cinnamon, but still good and flavorful. Looking forward to coming back to study or read and sampling the other lunch and bakery items. Free parking.
My Granddaughter and I, Sharon Stankas, went to your Cafe yesterday. First time in this area I could order ANYTHING on the menu, what a JOY! Your a Keeper! Thank You for serving Vegan!
SO glad I found this spot. Every last thing I’ve ordered here so far is DELICIOUS! Taco salad ☑️ pizza ☑️ Mac n cheese ☑️ desserts ☑️ bubble tea ☑️. Highly recommend. I’m from out of the area but Visit Pittsburgh every other month and always make sure to stop by
Saturday at 3pm, not open. Drove from Morgantown, WV after seeing your hours online were 10-8. Checked your website multiple times before we left, no mention of being closed.
This is the place to get coffee and tea in Washington, PA. Noplace else has their selection. The owners and staff are friendly and attentive. If you want something they don't have, ask! Edit: Why, oh why, did I wait until today to eat there? The panini and pizza were both wonderful! My coworker was very pleased with her salad. I highly recommend getting some food along with your coffee and tea purchase!
We stopped here for dinner while traveling through and it was so delicious that I’m sad we don’t live closer. You can tell ALL of the food is made fresh from scratch and using high quality ingredients. Both the food and dessert were amazing.
Incredible food and dessert options. I have a son with a dairy sensitivity...more amazing vegan options than any other place I've been. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!
Stop. Like seriously, you must go. I’m not even a mac person (I like to try it though at vegan restaurants) but their goat “cheese” Mac is heavenly . Their French onion soup is amazing. My fiancé (not vegan) really enjoyed his pierogis and buffalo mac. Pricey, but HUGE portions— you really get what you pay for. Friendly people and a ma and pa shop type vibe. A non-vegan would even enjoy. I wish I lived closer I would go here every week… Will definitely be returning
