If you're going for a kitchy vibe and insist upon hiring unpleasant staff with a "can't be bothered" attitude, then your product better be incredible. At Hobbs, it's not. Living nearby, I wanted to like it here so badly (and spent plenty of money trying) - but it falls short in so many ways. The line to buy drinks is the same area/line where people wait so when it's crowded, it's awkward. The food options leave a LOT to be desired - usually some sad looking scones just sitting in a display case. The coffee is weak and stale tasting. The staff are cold and clearly wish to be anywhere but there. Do yourself a favor and try Cafe Isla (Media), Ardour (Ridley Park) or Char and Stave (Ardmore).

Great staff! Excellent vibe. Been going here for months now to work. Emily and Matt are great. Ask for their specials.

Absolute gem of a coffee shop; the food is pricey but always delicious, and their coffee drinks are excellent. I got a chai latte with oat milk and my girlfriend got an iced caramel latte, both of which came to us quickly and were delectable. The staff is very patient and the ambience is very welcoming.

Used to be one of my favorite places go... Been out of the area for a while, I was very excited to get a breakfast sandwich here... Things have obviously changed. My sandwich was full of disgusting char. It literally was not even edible. Nowhere near the quality they used to be, plus the prices went up significantly. I have seen throw up more appetizing than this. Waste of my time and money. Very disappointed.

You go here for a coffee and a small bite. Don't expect anything outrageous foodwise, but it's all ok. Meet up with a friend and chat inside or out. It can get busy with loud music inside. Mostly students and local villagers attend.

The shop is currently closed, but they were kind to set up a stand outside where you can buy their coffee (cash or Venmo). The cold brew is not the best I’ve had — but drinkable, somewhat strong/bitter. Ice would have been appreciated. Would recommend trying it especially if they have full service set up.

Their coffee is excellent and the baristas are friendly. I have tried most of their sandwiches and they are all awesome - highly recommend the breakfast sandwich with house made veggie sausage.

Best real latte in the county in my humble opinion. And great coffeecake ... get early before they run out. Adventurous soup menu, great workers... often local art on the walls.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I expected it to be mostly college student patrons given how close it is to Swathmore College but was pleasantly surprised to see a wide range of people from the community. The idea of community really captures the feel and spirit of Hobbs.

A town treasure. Founded and run by the best kind of young hipster foodies, and a popular venue for town events. They do a fancy dinner event every first Friday, sometimes with live music performed by the Mayor. Weekend brunch menu is great, but runs low on some of the best items faster than you'd think. Check it out!

So cute! Thier drinks are well made and the vibe is perfect for being a college coffeehouse.
