The best vibes! And I deeply appreciated seeing gender-neutral bathrooms.

A not-so hidden gem of Downtown State College. Webster’s provides a hometown bookstore feel. With a massive selection of books, it’s hard to leave empty handed.

I love this place! First time visiting PA and here on a mini vacation. I love the coffee and breakfast here every morning. Very relaxed atmosphere and the employees are very friendly. I will miss breakfast here!

One of my absolute favorite places to visit. I extremely love this place. The workers, atmosphere, and everything else are so amazing! I would highly recommend this inclusive business to anybody who is cool.

Really nice cozy spot if you are into overpriced drinks and underpriced books. The bathrooms have menstrual supplies in them, which I greatly appreciate.

Had a good time other night, mingling and reading books while listening to live music.

Delightful expansive dynamic: So you go downstairs and I get the feeling in the winter time you could just spend the whole winter there and forget about bothering with any kind of weather. They got the stage, they got a café, they got a thrift store, they got all kinds of books, The music is Hoppin so I can do a little gyrating while you browse.

This is a nice place to have coffee and chat. The books are cheap and they have a nice collection of old and new books. There is a section for vantage items also.

Coffee is nice, ambiance is nice, it's just really warm in there and oftentimes smells too much of food/onions. I get claustrophobic in there but if you want that closed off, cramped feeling then it might be your happy place in happy valley :)

Neat place. Got some cool records. A lot of variation in pricing but I was able to get a couple good deals.

The Secret Garden, Bridge to Terabithia, Neverland (Peter Pan) - much like the settings of these books, entering Webster's Bookstore Cafe is like entering a magical, no frills, sanctuary for a good cup of coffee and a good book. It is a breath of fresh air from State College and the surrounding counties and my wife and our doggo love it here. We've been coming here off and on for the past couple years since moving to the area and it's always a relaxing visit. Another plus are the vegan options (especially the chili). Big shout out to the wonderful Manager/Owner who, during a very busy hour, kindly transformed a display area into a table for us - almost out of thin air. We look forward to our next visit from Altoona!

Was refused help by staff. I asked for a manager and was told there was none. Was told to come back tomorrow

I really had my hopes up for this place and I’ve given them so many tries but I just don’t care for it. The atmosphere is very chaotic and very few of the staff listen thoroughly when I’m ordering. They’ve often got conversations going with other staff and will continue them while I’m ordering. I’ve also stood at the register for a solid minute staring at them while they continue to not notice me ready to order, standing in front of them. I always order the same thing and I can tell when the two staff, who really care about food quality and presentation, are in the kitchen because when they’re not I just get food tossed in a bowl with sub-par ingredients rather than good quality ingredients plated nicely. And I just can’t get myself to enjoy the coffee. The tea is nice but every latte I order isn’t mixed (all the syrup is sitting at the bottom) and just tastes watered down. I had high hopes and I really hope that improvements can be made.

Websters is one of the best stores to visit in central PA. They’re one of the most alternative-indie-hipster looking bookstores that you will ever see.

Love it! It's a cool funky place with plenty of room to hang while having coffee or food. I had phenomenal vegan chili for lunch. Great vibe for vinyl and book collectors. It's easy to pass by without noticing it, especially with the main entrance being in the alley. The service was friendly and the wifi was saucy.

Great to stop by after 10 years and find staples still going strong. Atmosphere is still amazing and a great cup of coffee or tea.
