The food was okay; the customer service was poor. The person behind the counter was abrupt, unfriendly, and verging on flat-out rude both on the phone and in the cafe. I will not be returning.
Every time we are in State College, this place is where we go for bagels! There’s typically a line of people so best to know it might take a few minutes but well worth the wait. The staff is great and they work very hard to keep the line moving.
Best bagels and bagel sandwiches this side of NYC!
One of our favorite places to go for a bagel sandwich, excellent staff, hard working and friendly.
Ordered 2 bagels, each asked to be toasted and not. One bagel was completely wrong, prices increased almost double with no pricing shown on the menu.
I’m so surprised I’m not seeing a lot more bad reviews about the front counter girl who works here. She extremely rude and lacks any customer service skills at all and is incredibly immature. If you own this place, you need to go back and get some training to learn better customer service skills. She even had the nerve to mock me in front of the other customers and complain about us to the other workers who clearly ignored her. She obviously does this a lot. The food is good but not that good. Will never be back. Take care :)
Food: 7/10 convenience: 8/10 atmosphere: 5/10 Staff: 7/10 price: 6/10 Overall: 6.5/10 The food is decent but costs too much for what they’re offering (basic breakfast food), The serving size is to be expected you don’t get that much food. The music they play is usually loud, which isn’t always a problem but i wouldn’t recommend bringing a potential business client or taking someone on a date here as the seating is horrible (and limited to less then 15 seats), the music which is often non-english artists can be distracting. The staff was overall very friendly and offered great recommendations when asked. Don’t expect much more then common decency and respect. It’s not fine dining, so don’t expect that level of service or even anything on olive gardens level. My most recent visit i ordered 2 egg sandwiches and 2 drinks, which took about 13 minutes to all come out at a medium busy time of day. I’d always count for at least a 10 minute wait, potentially pushing 20 on a busier day. Very casual breakfast spot to explore by yourself or with a friend, i’d only recommend going here once or twice a month due to the higher then expected prices and sort of hectic seating area.
Excellent place to get breakfast. I’ve been here a number of times and it’s always good.
I've tried a few of the breakfast bagel sandwiches and all were delicious (perfectly cooked). The Good Boy is still my favorite. The price is great for much you get inside the bagels.
Really great bagels. Perfect chew and crust. Nice staff.
Excellent little spot in town for breakfast sandwiches. Taylor ham!
Awesome bagels ! They go out of their way to make my kids happy !
Cool place. Their blt is rlly good
Such a great team and awesome group of people! highly recommend the breakfast sandwiches!!! We love Kevin and Maria!
Order was incorrect. Missing ketchup packets, missing utensils, missing water bottle. Pretty difficult to eat without utensils! "Please include ketchup packets" and "include napkins and utensils YES" plain as day on my receipt. I called and the lady that answered basically told me 'too bad' regarding the ketchup and utensils because I don't pay for them. And blamed the missing water on the GrubHub driver. To add, she said I was being rude. I guess some people don't like being told they screwed up. Don't have the option to add text on your order if you aren't going to pay attention.
Service is a little rough sometimes and the food is a bit pricey, but the quality of food is definitely good.
Great bagel sandwiches. Airy and toasty!
Really nothing else here even compares, but rest assured these scratch the itch for real bagels Excellent bagels, by far the best I've had in State College.
Great food, nice staff.
Food is fine for the times I have been able to get it. But always feels like its a flip of the coin on whether or not they actually have the product you want. Even if you just want a plan bagel.
