I went in last Wednesday I believe. I think the owner greeted me. He was a very kind man, it was very early in the morning and he gave me recommendations seeing as how it was my first-time. I really enjoyed my caramel latte and sandwich. The food was delicious and the service was great. It's a very cute coffeehouse. 10/10 will be going again.

To All Good people who visit this coffee shop, it's amazing!, I am a serious coffee drinker. Please, check out the stand where the candles, earrings, bracelets, canes and walking sticks are located.... You truly won't be disappointed!

Owner is EXTREMELY rude. I had barely walked in the door to pick up an order I placed online and he immediately walked over to me stating that I wasn’t allowed to bring coffee from another shop into his store. He babbled on saying “my wife and I pay a lot of money blah blah blah.” While I respect this rule, my Starbucks coffee had about 3 sips left & I had ordered it 2 hours prior before Commonwealth was even open. Not to mention, his tone was very unfriendly and I would have definitely respected a kind “I’m sorry but we prefer if you don’t bring outside drinks into the store,” as opposed to the unfriendly ambush I received when walking in the door. Needless to say I will never be returning.
The owner was absolutely unwelcoming! As a graduate student, I was planning on making this place my go-to study spot. I've been here multiple times, and have ordered food and drink in the past. This time, I had a big exam coming up so came to join a friend who ordered and was already studying. I was too busy to order anything at this particular visit. As we pack up to leave, the owner rushes from behind the counter towards us and tells me specifically that he doesn't appreciate how I just sat down and didn't order anything. He further squares up and goes to explain that if I am ever to come to commonwealth again, that I NEED to order something. Sir, if you had just taken a few seconds to get to know me, you would have known that I was planning on becoming a regular and a loyal customer! But that interaction definitely left a sour taste. His business sense, salesmanship, and emotional quotient definitely leaves room for improvement. Unfortunately, this news has spread by word of mouth among the students at my school (other potential customers). At the end of it all, I wish you the best and hope you treat your future patrons with welcoming arms so that you create an environment that feels safe and inviting.
Tried the egg sandwiches and they were all awesome. Good local spot. Cool staff. Coffee was great.
Not allowed to sit with a friend if you’re not ordering Have you ever been to a cafe where you can order twice in one sitting, but you’re not allowed to have anyone sit with you if they haven’t ordered? Owner stared down my friend for 2 hours then berated him for not ordering, while sitting with me when I’ve ordered twice Oddest behavior I’ve ever seen from any coffee shop Chronically understaffed, and owner radiates stress Otherwise, good coffee and desserts! But unwelcoming environment - read the other reviews… you’ll notice more weird behavior
My first time there. Had the Yankee Clipper roast coffee ☕️ and a fried egg sandwich. Both were very good and prices were very reasonable. Very open space and comfortable.
Not happy with the food or specialty drink. Chairs are uncomfortable. The owner was not welcoming. Go to Starbucks right across the street or one of the other many good coffee shops downtown
Up until recently this has been my favorite place to go for coffee. I'd go every Tuesday and Thursday before class and get a white chocolate and lavender latte. The last time I went I asked if I could have one of their paper coffee cups so I could 3D print a sleeve for it to keep my hand from burning and after a bit of conversation, mostly seeming like the person at the counter wasn't understanding, nor trying to understand I was banned from here. I am very confused as to why someone would escalate to this so suddenly.
Love going to Commonwealth Coffee. The people are friendly and go out of their way to please. Love the atmosphere and surroundings.
Great salad with a nice mild Italian house dressing. The sandwiches are a good size with lots of lunch meat on really good rolls. Very cute little place to grab lunch or breakfast. Nice addition to the downtown area.
Everyone was super nice, sandwich was amazing and coffee was perfect!
Kind of feels like a hotel lobby, but the coffee is as good as it gets and the prices are a bit more reasonable than I expected
Top notch family owned local business. Great for work meetings or to take the kids. They really take pride in everything they do!

The fondest memories I have from this place… I recently picked up a white chocolate caramel latte and a pumpkin streusel to do some work. I also found a dress for my daughter. Previously, I stopped by with my son and had a beautiful lunch. We had soup lattes and some pretty yummy breakfast sandwiches. This place has the cutest vibe and amazing owners. Thank you for always making me feel right at home. 🙏🏽🖤🇺🇸
