They used to be great, but not so much anymore. The cold brew has definitely gotten worse though it’s still decent. When we ordered an iced mocha they just put a bit of espresso in a large glass chocolate milk - so strange and not really a mocha by my expectations.

One of the best coffeeshops in town, actually one of the few serving specialty grade coffee. Luckily this branch is close to the downtown, universities and nearby hospitals. Good pastry choices, and it's from local bakeries! Which is cool. Too bad they are often very limited in quantity. It would actually serve them right if they have more seating areas. All in all, a very great place for a coffee pick up and short sit'n chat.

Update: All I know is that this location is swelteringly hot on every hot day since August when the school year began. I admittedly don't know precisely what the situation is but I have worked in a cafe before and can infer: I know that no workers that "have control over the thermostat" are going to opt to work in such conditions. There are unfortunately small businesses in which the owners play the "we're all family here" as an excuse to cut corners on matters regarding material well-being of workers. I know the type and I feel no sentimentality toward them. I'd like to think an establishment held up by talented and hard working folks as yours might be otherwise, but I have a hard time seeing how. Please enlighten me. Original review: Good coffee and a friendly, professional staff who are all top-notch baristas! But I get the impression that the owners are incredibly stingy. This is obviously a successful enterprise so why does this place often go months without working heat and air conditioning? It's uncomfortable for clients, but moreover for these poor workers. Would otherwise be 5 stars easily.

Is not easy to find specialty coffee in the area so Redhawk was a very nice surprise. The espresso is very tasty, solid and well prepared.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Fabulous coffee, staff, and owners. They go above and beyond. It's especially hard to find a consistently great tasting cup of decaf coffee. This is my current favorite in the entire city. I'm so local to them they deliver right to my house and even like my dog. What more could I ask for? I highly recommend Redhawk Coffee.

Great little place in Oakland. Coffee was excellent, and the service and ambience were both perfect. Will definitely be going again sometime.

Staff are always super nice. I had a cookie there the other day. It was really good! The center was on the doughy side, but I liked it. I like a doughy cookie if it’s done right, and this one definitely was. If you’re a person who prefers a crustier cookie, maybe try another one of their pastries. But if you like a mushy, gooey, sugary sweet cookie — get this chocolate chip cookie. I’m not a big sweet tooth but I was delighted to find my cookie leftover wrapped up in my coat pocket this morning. I ate it. It was just as good. Their coffee is good too. Does the job. I’m not equipped to rate coffee. It’s a utility drink. like whisky.

Great little coffee shop. This is exactly why I don’t get coffee from Starbucks anymore. These little shops like this deserve our business and customer service is better and the product is outstanding.

I ordered a cold brew coffee with milk and sugar but it was very weak and tasted very sour. Maybe I just had a bad batch.

Walking around Oakland I was feeling the fall vibe and decided to get a latte, which is not a part of my normal coffee drinking routine. I popped into Redhawk because it was highly reviewed. Okay, so this is a good coffee kind of coffee shop. Obviously the latte was delicious, but I knew I needed to come back to try a black cup of coffee. So I did and it was great. If you like coffee, just delicious, well roasted and brewed coffee with a kind smiling face to hand it to you, then come here. The atmosphere is great. It's small and quaint. I love coming by here when I need a mid-day pick-me-up or didn't have time to make coffee in the morning. They keep the coffee shop warm and cozy in the winter, too.

One of the better coffee shops in Pittsburgh. Their dine-in options are as good as they look. Staff is accommodating and knowledgeable.

This coffee shop is amazing! Great vibes and amazing coffee. Shaun, who made the coffee, was so nice. Also, the kids toys were a huge bonus because my husband and I could actually enjoy ourselves while our son stayed busy.

Opens early, and have a standard for their coffees. Tried both takeout and dine-in, and obviously dining in was always better with the cafe vibes and a slower pace to the day. But many do takeaways along the way to work for that pick-me-up!

Great local coffee shop option in Oakland. Really amazing coffee, worth spending a bit extra not only for an amazing cup of coffee but to support a local business. Baristas are really friendly and fun people. Grab a coffee for now and a bag of beans to brew at home.

Best coffeeshop. Smallest, but best. Been coming here for years, almost every day, to fill my cup. Excellent spro, too. And really, just the best people slinging.
