A sweet little spot in Pittsburgh’s Mexican War Streets neighbourhood. Friendly, quick service and tasty breakfast burrito. Lovely to sit outdoors and feel the warm sunshine! Literally within steps of the celebrated Mattress Factory art space. Only wish your menu were larger. 😎

The great atmosphere is only magnified by the awesome neighborhood it serves. Maybe one of the coolest places to live in Pittsburgh.

Commonplace is the best coffee in Pittsburgh, imo. (Close second would be Nicholas.) This Commonplace location might be my favorite. It's a little small but omg, they are amazing baristas. They really know how to make coffee. I am a barista myself; they do everything right. The coffee is awesome just on its own, and their homemade added flavors are delicious -- subtle but definitely present. It's a beautiful drink every time.
I love this cafe. I’ve been coming here over the nearly seven years I’ve lived in Pittsburgh and always had a great experience. It’s got a lovely neighborhood/community feel, with people walking in and out constantly (so it’s busy; in case you are looking for a quiet place, consider the North Side Public Library!). Today I had a matcha latte sweetened with sweet oak which was delicious and the barista brought the drinks over to our table despite it being quite busy🥹Strongly recommend.

Their coffee is amazing. I come here when I can and I highly recommend it to others. Roasted locally, served with care and expertise. If I could give this rating 7 stars I would, but Google only allows five.
The friendliest neighborhood coffee shop! They are a true staple of the community. Frank offered to help me move my first week in the neighborhood… that really says it all.
Really fantastic coffee. This is a well run spot and you can tell they really care here. Glad to see people committed to something do well. Great place to relax, meet up with people, or take care of a little work.
Very nice atmosphere, kind and helpful staff! The sweet oak latte is very tasty, pepperoni roll is great, affogato is delicious

I can’t talk about this spot enough! Their espresso is absolutely delicious, the staff is so sweet and kind and the atmosphere of the whole place is just welcoming and cozy. Highly recommend!!
My sister and I walked here from Randyland down the road. The neighborhood this little coffee shop is located in is so peaceful and quiet. It was a great place to stop in at and take a break. The employees were friendly and welcoming.

Definitely the best place for coffee on the North Side, I love the staff and have been coming to this locations for years. My wife and I stop by as much as we can. Definitely recommend to anyone needing their caffeine fix. A great place to support.
commonplace has wonderful coffee. i tried the oat milk latte with honey syrup. it’s truly among the best coffee in pittsburgh. i drank my coffee in the beautiful garden across the street :-)
