I have to be honest.... this place has THE BEST COFFEE IN PITTSBURGH. I also like the atmosphere, the cleanliness and the staff. Even if parking is a very difficult, the service and the coffee are worth the pain.

It was a cool place, I’ve never been a metal cafe! Lots of different recipes made by the really nice lady working the bar! Unfortunately there was something off with the coffee and snacks my friend and I got :(

Being around you takes a lot of confusing dedication when you take on your shiftl

Amazing service: Example… the espresso shot was not up to her standards (I know little about espresso, other than I consume it) … she explained it to me and made it again until she felt it was right… and she was right, it was awesome! The cinnamon blondie… HEATED UP… was on FIRE! As a staple of Allentown for years black forge has been a key to bringing so many things, resources and care to the community, and some how they find time to keep making BF better!

Had the ThunderHorse, Nick was cool and helpful. Best coffee I have had in a while. Atmosphere was great. Can’t wait to go back.

Probably my favorite coffee shop in Pittsburgh. Very metal vibes, the speciality drinks are divine. I come here way too often. If you're a cool cat, you should try it out

Great local coffeeshop in every aspect. Coffee, staff, theme, etc. are all top notch. They even allow dogs! Highly recommend.

It's a fun little shop themed around death metal. It's a smaller shop with great drinks and the occasional live show on the stage.

Metal to the max. Coffee was as black as my soul. Felt right at home in the Forge.

The new interior and the music is so dope, it's one of my favorite reading spots. Plenty of seating for even such a small location, and the coffee is 11/10. They roast their own coffee and you can buy some to take home! Their seasonal specialty drinks are the best.

Who doesn't love a metal-themed coffee shop? Their aesthetic reminds me of TRVE and Burial Brewing. I wish they had another location down the hill, but it's always a treat to come up to Arlington Avenue to have a $6.66 latte or delicious cold brew coffee from Black Forge. (The photos I posted are from April 2022, before they remodeled)

Love the atmosphere here, and the coffee is to die for. Comfy seating, cool events, makes me wish I lived in the area so I could come every day!

Found this place by lucky chance: their other location is hosting a band I want to see and I looked up the wrong address. I am so happy that I found them. The shop is small but has a friendly atmosphere while also hitting the niche Heavy Metal aesthetic, and they do it in a way that is welcoming to all. I had the Nephilim dark blend, black, and thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife got the Weedeater and she is excited to go back because she loved it. The service provided was incredibly friendly, and the baristas were wonderful. I had an oddball request with the Weedeater: don't add the ice. I explained that I had a long drive home and didn't want it to be watered down. Deducted 1 star ONLY because of the lack of parking. The location isn't friendly to drivers, though I imagine this place gets most of their business via foot traffic.
