Super friendly staff, extremely dog-friendly (dogs allowed to sit with you inside). Hands down the best cinnamon rolls we’ve ever had. Bring them home and microwave them for about 20 seconds and I promise you won’t be disappointed! Not my favorite coffee in the area, but the americano is good and the staff and cinnamon rolls make the visit more than worth it.

Such a vibey coffee shop. The staff were very friendly and helpful with selections. I had the seasonal cardamom caramel latte and it was delicious

Cute little coffee shop. Great, relax atmosphere and the baristas and staffs are friendly! I enjoyed the espresso I got here, but they're not your traditional Italian style espresso. By the time I got there, there were not a lot of pastries left, but definitely something on my list the next visit. I do want to give the feedback that the store seems cluttered and the glassware are a stained. They were clean but perhaps some cafiza is needed. Also, not sure why old machines and boxes are out and in area where they are displaying the coffee beans.

Matcha latte is wonderful and doesn't have sweetener in it. I go here too much but what is money anyways.

Really amazing baked good and coffee. Only downside is locals sit for hours with laptop making finding a seat difficult. Space is small but worth a trip for a good cup of coffee.

Decent coffee. Didn’t get a chance to try pastry. Avocado toast good and reasonably priced.

One of my favorite coffee shops in the city! I appreciate that they offer quality coffee and are always coming up with creative, flavorful specialty drinks. Their pastries are also absolutely delicious! Function is a gem!

I normally love Function for their coffee and sourdough baked goods but think this could’ve just been a one off experience :/ Ordered a sesame bagel with cream cheese and large hot coffee this morning. Sesame bagel had minimal sesame seeds and for some reason, the dough today tasted like rosemary? $4.75 for a smaller sized minimally sesame, rosemary-tasting bagel with cream cheese was pretty steep. Coffee was good, hot, and strong like usual. Will continue to support this business but I do recommend a little bit of quality control

I used to go to here at least 2-3 times a week. I thorougly enjoyed their coffee, especially the specialty latte as they never go overboard with their flavors. You can still taste the expresso, subtle added natural flavors, and there's a nice balance of the expresso:milk ratio. When i get a good cup of latte from them, it makes me very happy. However, I've had at least 3 instances where my latte tasted like diluted milk with very faint to no taste of expresso, all made by the same barista (who seems to be making their coffee everytime I try to stop by now). I don't understand how differently the lattes were made - I could never finish them. Initially I thought it was a bad day, but it was consistently terrible the 2nd, 3rd and 4th times that I cannot justify spending $7 on a latte I dislike. If you have boiled the art of coffee making down to a science, I don't know how this can be explained. We make our own cold brew during the week to drink at work. On the weekends FCL latte is my treat. But it's now become an anxiety trigger for me when I go to the shop and see the barista standing behind the counter. I've straight up just walked away when i see that. I don't know what to do - I don't want to be rude, but i've had amazing lattes like nowhere else made by all of their other baristas. My husband has tried politely requesting a different barista who was taking our order to make our latte but was met with resistance and attitude by the barista. For a shop that prides themself on their coffee-making technique, you should be more accommodating for your patrons. We would like to come back for your amazing lattes. But we're put in an extremely awkward position as a paying customer. I hope you can figure out a system that is welcoming and makes it easier for your customers to enjoy their coffee. Or at least quality control and ensure consistent training for your baristas.

Listen. I am a regular here because I live one minute away. And also my wife and I throughly enjoy vibrant. So we are happy to spend the money and also support queer business/with queer workers. As a chef in the neighborhood I pride myself on treating every service worker as human being and maybe it comes off chatty. But I gotta say. There is a worker here that is tall. Shaved head. And they are very unwelcoming to regular locals in this area. If I see them working I fully avoid you guys and rather walk to Shot Tower for better customer service.

Super cute coffee shop that is serious about their coffee (not in a snobby way) and it shows in their quality. Possibly the best gingerbread latte I’ve ever had. Friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Went to a private cupping class yesterday evening with Curtis and had the BEST time! Not only was he super knowledgeable and entertaining, the class itself was fun and engaging. If we didn’t think we were coffee nerds beforehand, we definitely are now!
