Great food and speciality coffees!
This was the WORST experience I’ve ever had with takeout. Save your money and go elsewhere. I was told the food would take a while because they had 2 orders ahead of mine and it looked like only 1 cook. No biggie, we weren’t in a rush. What really happened was 4-5 other orders went out including people who had ordered after me. When I asked about my order I was given a snarky response, “I told you it would take awhile”. Meanwhile everyone who ordered after me had gotten their food. We waited an HOUR for 2 sandwich’s. It was so disorganized, I have no clue how they are in business. I love supporting local shops and understand waiting for good food, but this experience was one that ruins your day. My husband put it best, we’d rather throw away $50 then come back here.
Dingy coffee shop that always looks closed and staff that couldn’t be more unfriendly. Ordering is like pulling teeth from a staff who always seems like taking your order is a burden. Today the staff refused to provide me with a splash of milk for my $4.75 small coffee. Apparently, a new policy is that milk costs $1.00. An absolutely outrageous and customer losing policy. Sad that the only locally owned coffee shop in the area is so unfriendly to customers.
Solid coffee and a rather amazing selection of breakfast offerings. The brisket eggs Benedict was hands-down my favorite – it comes with a slab of brisket that's about a half inch thick - and is literally a meal in itself. The breakfast potatoes are probably some of the best that I've had, across five states in the northeast. And they do a passable beignet. The only thing they're missing is chicory coffee.
Wonderful little gem. Have been here twice in the last year -- need to go more often. Delish food, great atmosphere, friendly staff.
Really bad latte. Very watery, no foam, just hot vanilla flavored water.
Sooooooo goooooood
Newtown square location: big space for not many customers. No posting anywhere on price of smoothies. Turned out to be almost $9.00 but we asked. Just me and my husband getting small breakfast and it came to over $40.00. You must be kidding. ALL breakfast items are considered a "side" so if you want eggs? That's $5.00 want bacon? That's another $5. Want potatoes and toast? That's another $10. Seriously???? First Watch has a nice Farmers breakfast as do most restaurants with eggs, choice of meat, toast and potatoes for 6.99--11.99. Not Ala carte. Who wants to spend like $25. On eggs and dinky side items. Husbands coffee was $3.50. He got runny eggs Benedict with a cheese sauce that didn't taste that great. Turkey bacon was greasy and had a chemically taste. The prices were OUTRAGEOUS.... !!! You will not get customers to return with your crazy prices. I also was told if I wanted a banana in my smoothie instead of raspberries they would charge me more. Seriously?? The cashier was really nice but seemed nervous about not following the rules. She kept telling us, that's what the boss wants. Yea, but whatever he says.... I'm like ok, boss. We won't be returning. It's sad what happened to the other place that used to be there. Look around at Apple walnut Cafe, first watch, and local diners. See their prices? Yea? Ok.
The pastries are heavy, coffee acceptable, hot cocoa insipid, and music excruciating. Hard pass.
Most of the good reviews here historically are for the Media location. This new Newtown Square location is not as good. First of all it’s always closed. I just tried going on a Tuesday at 930am and it was closed despite the sign saying Tuesdays are open since 7am. It’s already closed on Mondays so the other random closings are so annoying! Second the espresso drinks are usually made too hot and scald your tongue. I really want to support local and was excited for this to open close by, but I’ve been here about 15x (double that when I count the times I’ve tried to come but it’s closed) and unfortunately the experience is not great and I only come bc it’s the closest coffee place to me.
The food is great!
Very ignorant woman on the phone all because I asked if I can have strawberries on my French toast and she gonna say it’s whatever fruit they give me. Then gets even more frustrated when I asked ok what fruit are they giving me . Like idk if you have allergies to common food don’t try it bc they shown no consideration.
My husband and I had breakfast here and relaxed to two guitarists. The food was good, and the atmosphere cozy.
we were so happy to find this! We planned on just getting a coffee to go but once we went in the atmosphere was so nice and the food sounded delicious! I got the caprese and avacado toast and my husband got a breakfast sandwich. The cold brew was strong and the jamacian hot coffee tasted amazing. My husband even got another cold brew to go which was good even a day later. Will definitely return!
Delicious food, great service, lovely atmosphere and good music while you eat!!!
Went for breakfast. When I walked in, We guided ourselves to the table and waited for Menu. The waiter came to us and gave us a menu and asked me to come to the counter when I am ready to order. The waiter asked me to pay before the food is served. Ordered French toast, brisket omelet, and a side of turkey bacon. The French toast was partly burnt and taste very strange. The bacon was served cold. Unfortunately we decided to leave and go elsewhere.
Nice place ,good and clean, purchases was good. Thanks for your service and help.
Went to get coffee today and the door was locked . Sign says open till 3. (Got there at 2:35) Trying to support a local business but it looks like I'm off to Starbucks
