If you appreciate coffee I would avoid this place. The staff unfortunately does not know how to brew coffee. The espresso is horribly over extracted. The only flavors you get are bitter and sour and completely undrinkable. A cup of coffee however has the reverse problem. It is extremely under extracted to the point of essentially being tinted water. The amount of disservice to the coffee beans is unforgivable.
On a road trip from Vermont to Virginia and back, this was my favorite food stop and whole way! I got a GF PB&J waffle sandwich, with their own quality flour blend. I also got the egg & veggie waffle omelet...creative and yummy. Great food! I enjoyed the sidewalk seating as well.

Food was good but my cold brew coffee was really old tasting
First off, I am not a coffee expert, but I still wanted to share my experience. Today was my first visit to Four Twelve, but it won't be my last. My Cappuccino was rich and smooth, and velvety. I had a bacon, egg & cheese waffle sandwich and it was excellent! The waffles are made on site to order, and everything tasted fresh. The staff was courteous and friendly. The atmosphere is very accepting, and the clientele is diverse. Definitely a nice coffee house feel. I recommend Four Twelve Coffee!
Lovely modern little coffee shop. It has a pleasant bustle of energy and is quiet enough to get some work done. The coffee was fantastic! We ordered the biscuits and gravy which were incredible (the rosemary was spot on) and the avacado, egg and cheese waffle sandwich. My only recommendation is to maybe ask for some of the gravy as dipping sauce for the sandwich (the only savory sauce options were ketchup and hot sauce which is a bit too acidic for me this early).
Always friendly staff with smiling faces. The waffle sandwiches are incredible and well worth any wait time. Of course, the coffee never disappoints!
We stopped here today, it’s right off the interstate. We were greeted promptly by friendly staff and ordered the delicious, GF waffles with egg, perfectly ripe avocado and the GF waffle with sausage and cheese. Another waffle with chocolate chips for our son, who said this was the ‘BEST waffle’ he ever had! Glad we stopped here!
The coffee was decent, a bit acidic though. I got the waffle to go and it came in a very nice container and was a decent sized waffle as well. The waffle was pretty good, but I think because it sat for too long that it wasn't as good as it could be. The chocolate sauce that came with it was good as well, just a bit rich but that's just my preference. Will return again though with wife and kids!
My wife and I love eating here for breakfast when we are out in the Hamburg area. Atmosphere is nice and relaxed. I love their espresso drinks and all of their waffle choices are great. It can get busy here, rightfully so, so we try to get there early, closer to when it opens. Would definitely recommend checking Four Twelve out when you’re in the area.
This was a great find! Very friendly staff. One of the freshest egg dishes I have had in a while and the espresso drinks were amazing!!

Not too bad for a small small town coffee shop. When I graduated high school our principals gifted us gift cards for 412 so I figured I would give it a shot. Coffee was about average not bad but not spectacular. And as I mentioned before it was very small inside, but it was clean well-capped and looked like a proper coffee shop. My only complaint is that the prices were similar to Starbucks which is way overpriced as to something that you could get elsewhere with the exact same taste for probably half the payment
