1 word of advice, RUN! I had moved here a few months ago and loved the welcoming atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. Porsche was my favorite with her smile and great customer service but I also enjoyed the great service from Isabell and Zero. This was one of my favorite places to go in the mornings but the other day I discovered an entire new staff and the service was horrible. I waited in line for 20 minutes because the new manager Nick was fiddling around with a clip board rather than helping customer. The food I ordered was cold and their drinks don't taste the same, not to mention how sticky and dirty the tables were. I will never return and I don't recommend anyone to go here.
My partner and I have been going to this coffee shop for the last year and loved it. They had delicious pastries, bagel sandwiches and coffees. The atmosphere was also super cute. However, the last couple time we went it looked like the place was falling apart. Order screens were off, the shelves almost empty, and they no longer have a great pastry selection (RIP cinnamon rolls 😢). The coffee hasn’t been the same either. I don’t know if the place got sold and the new management is terrible (staff also changed and are awful) but the place is no longer inviting at all and it seems they are going downhill… so sad about it as it used to be our favorite little coffee shop. Terribly disappointing.
Visited twice, cute coffee shop, good selection of baked goods to take home. Unfortunately, both times I visited both mine and my boyfriends coffees were burnt. The pastries are good though, especially the almond muffin. I dont know if I will be returning because of the burnt coffee. The employees seem to need more practice.
Porsche is a complete stunna! She was the only person behind the counter when I came in with an order for my entire office and she KILLED it! She got every order perfect, was kind and incredibly organized! Plus, this was honestly one of the best Dirty Chais I have ever had👌
Hot chocolate and the marrionberry latte were okay not great but they charge 95 cents or a 1.90 for oat milk in two medium drinks which is crazy considering the drinks were just basic. Will not return.
Went to several spots in town while visiting, the breakfast bagels will change your life.
Other than their iced tea, there isn't anything I like about the shop and I'm a local. That being said they don't even offer lemon with their iced tea and I have to use lemon syrup from a bottle in order to get that lemony flavor in my iced tea. How hard is it to cut up a lemon every morning? I mean really? I wish I could say that the food and coffee were good, but they literally just are not. If you take your bagels to go and make them yourself with your own eggs etc it's fine. Bagels are fine on their own. If The owner of the shop can't invest in a true grill and you're using a microwave for everything, with no flavor, no additional flavors of cream cheese other than like three, it's just very mediocre. I mean you can literally use real eggs on an electric griddle as opposed to a microwave... It's not that hard. I would love to have a non mediocre coffee shop in our community, but I do not feel this is it. This is barely mediocre unfortunately.
Good breakfast sandwich and it opens at 7Am.
EXPIRED PRODUCTS AND INGREDIENTS. AND Unfortunately, Nancy, the owner, encourages staff to go against Oregon State Law and Oregon Health Code. She uses her position with the Chamber of Commerce to manipulate the system and will threaten to fire you if you ask too many questions. Avoiding this place from now on. Oh and she is a cheapskate who uses EXPIRED PRODUCTS AND INGREDIENTS! EW!
literally amazing. i come here for lunch, im in highschool and they get it out to you so fast. their mango smoothie is the best thing EVER
I went in yesterday to get a bagel and the elderly lady with gray hair argued with me about how I like MY bagel toasted. Terrible customer service, I won't be returning!
Wow. I really should have read the reviews before I gave this place a shot. What an overpriced, understaffed, grimey little hole in the wall place. The entire store needs a scrub down but judging from the grungy old hag that runs the place, not gonna happen any time soon. Coffee was oily and stale, bagel sandwich was so expensive and disgusting. Staff tried hard but looks joyless and I felt bad for the person at the counter. Will be warning all my friends in the local area to stay far, far away!
what an absolute dump. the owner admitted to having covid and still coming in to bake her nasty bread. she also enjoys using many expired ingredients and upcharging 300% over what her menu items are actually worth. Do yourself a favor and skip this garbage. Hi Nancy, I know you will post some silly fake story or something to rebuttle this valid review. We all know the truth. Roaches in the sourdough starter? come on thats disgusting. In yoir mind its just extra protein though. LET THE BUYER BEWARE!
Excellent sandwich! Nice atmosphere. Inside or outside seating. Good selection of other stuff to buy such as coffee, dressings, etc. Great service.
First time I’ve been here. Coffee is great! Better than the “green giant” hands down. I wanted a snack and the guy recommended their croissant style cinnamon roll which was DELICIOUS!
$13 and they serve a HOT lox bagel. The lady honestly believed that this was normal and tried to debate this with me. No, lady - you don't heat up cured salmon. Maybe just the bagel, but cured salmon, cheese, capers, red onion, and dill should be COLD. (also, regarding her smug reply, I know it was cooked because the salmon was very clearly COOKED at that point, not pink uncooked lox, I specifically noticed this - why would I lie about this? I ate this all the time in israel and the US, she must think her customers are really dim.) I want to add that she was sitting at a customer table and awkwardly walked back behind the counter to help me only after I've been standing in line for a minute. I'm sorry that I interrupted your lunch of hot dr pepper & lukewarm lettuce, lady. I gave this place 3 separate tries. I want to support local business, but... No. Anyway, the person I'm referring to here is the older lady w/gray hair. The younger employee was perfectly pleasant and would probably be happier working elsewhere.
I unfortunately will not return here again. This morning I got coffee and a bagel. My coffee was fine nothing wrong not that great but not bad. My bagel on the other hand, it was $14 and took a very long time. I was shocked at what I got for the amounti spent. It was supposed to be a lox bagel but for $14 I got a bagel with like 6 tiny pieces of hard lox. The amount of lox on the bagel for $14 was ridiculous. I will never waste my money like I did.
So I'm vegan wanted some fast went in today as a black woman that place was not as welcoming I asked for jam never received it horrible customer service I will never
Bagels were good and we enjoyed our drinks as well! Overall a nice little spot to grab some quick breakfast.
Sourdough bagels are excellent, nice and soft, full of flavor, and the toppings are very unique! Asiago cheese,, Jalapeno Cheddar, and great breakfast sandwiches! Can't wait to go back, and their manager Josh took great care of us!
