The mocha and pastries were Devine! That berry scone was the best, and cinnamon roll made us moan with pleasure. Thank you

Not a great place for a sit down breakfast. Really expensive and not particularly friendly. Can't speak to their pastries or coffee.

We decided to start the day with a hearty breakfast at Handy Creek based on the reviews. My Latte was really good. Mike said his coffee was OK. We both got the 2 egg breakfast and it took over 20 minutes to get out meal. It was really busy and only two people to cook, run the register, make coffee, deliver food, etc. I think it would have been so much better had we just ordered a Danish and coffee. The staff is very friendly, and a good location.

Went for breakfast. Won't be back. Was out of French toast got eggs ham and hash browns. What we got was Burnt toast and ham. Server went to get us condiments and never came back. I'm sure their baked goods are delicious. But I'm not going to take the chance.

My go-to bakery for pastries. The home made bread is devine and if you're super fortunate you'll get there when it's still warm and fresh from the oven. Don't let the seemingly ordinary exterior fool you, everything I've tried here has been amazing. Skip the grocery store bakery and come here. It may cost a tad more but it's worth it!

RACIST ** I’d give less stars if I could. Stopped to get breakfast on a road trip with my partner( a black man) . The lady at the counter told us it was to go only, we were waiting to order and another couple ( white) walked in and she said “ are you going to have something to eat here? Have a seat anywhere” when I asked her why she told us it was only to go her response began with - “I’m not trying to be discriminatory” I ended the conversation there and we left. 2022 and there are still people who behave like this?? I’m disgusted.

Often drive by this bakery/cafe while visiting the coast, but have never been able to stop in before. Its definitely has a cute home style decor and appetizing food and drinks worth trying if have the time while in or passing through Wheeler, but if in a hurry might suggest trying on a different day.

Very cute place! I had eggs Benedict, my other family members had the egg combo and croissant sandwich. They also all got cinnamon rolls! Everything was wonderful, delicious, and very clean. I would definitely return! The gal running the place was extremely nice and attentive.

Wife and I spotted this old schoolhouse while on a hunt for breakfast and it satisfied our need. The wife had a salmon quiche, which she enjoyed and rated 8 out of 10. I had the eggs Benedict, which was, well, eggs Benedict. While we sat there, flocks of people came in, ordering pastries, donuts and muffins as though they were going out of style.
