Very good spot! Love the drinks and the entire vibe there
I went here to pick up an order barely any people were in and the workers were sitting around, drinking at the bar section and for almost five minutes they were making eye contact with me and haven’t asked to help so I had to get their attention making it obvious then needed to be that I needed an order. I just got the order through my app and when I arrived they threw it away and had to remake it??! That’s what they said. My option it’s a cute place but terrible service.
A community congregating point. Love it. Staff is always nice. Their bartender (a cross between the "My Name is Earl" lead and Ron Swanson) is fantastic. Food could be a tad on the more interesting side - and I mean this with nothing but success in mind; the avocado toast - grill the bread and/or offer a multi grain variant (also make the bread smaller than what it currently is);, offer a lovely continental breakfast with a great croissant that crumbles like it just came out of the oven (the products are out there - and its also an item you can dunk in your cappuccino foam); offer a leek and Gruyere quiche; instead of boring hummus - introduce people to babaganoosh!!! Make your butter for your steak and frites a class A "cafe de Paris" butter, you'll thank me later. Offer fantastic loose leaf tea's with an emphasis on the presentation (pyrex tea pot, tea sieve, various sugar option, candle to keep the tea hot and an appropriate pastry to accompany the tea. And you are so close to so many wonderful wineries in the Willamette Valley AVA's, offer a rotating sample of some of the wineries that come off of the local hillside - Bethel Heights, Willamette Valley Vineyard, Bryn Mawr, Van Duzer, Bjornson, Lingua Franca, etc. They are in your backyard. Oh, and summer/local berries are here. What better way to enjoy than a late night "sabayon" poured over some fresh berries and enjoyed with a digestive from your bar? Or better, a lemon-tiramisu with a chilled limoncello to reward yourself. I wish you so much success and hope some of these suggestions help you to increase the traffic and business you and your team so desire and can do. Much continued success. Salem needs a great place like Archive!!
Always great quality drinks and food. Service is good too!
Great spot to get pretty amazing food. The atmosphere is very relaxed and calming. It’s very clean and well kept. And the staff working there are very charming and accommodating. They’re like family! The menu has some pretty cool and tasty dishes and the coffee selection is to die for. Please visit this place, you won’t regret it.
Both drinks and food were excellent. Potatoes cooked nice and crispy with soft interior. Staff very friendly, space clean and inviting. Hot chocolate and vanilla bourbon latte were very good.
It all started with an amazing Latte some years back and quickly became an obsession. Absolutely LOVE this place, the food, the drinks (coffee and not coffee) the environment, the people who work there. Everything it's all amazing. It's my go-to spot for just about everything now. Morning coffee, lunch, drinks or dinner with friends. This has got to be one of if not THE best spot in town 🔥❤️
The food was good. Cauliflower tacos were surprisingly good. Their normal hot mocha was just warm so ask for extra hot.
Super cute, fantastic coffee, and a little busy which is well warranted! They serve food too, which we didn't get this time, but it's real tasty. The serving size is modest and while you won't get stuffed you will be happy. The cappuccino was equal parts rich and smooth. The biggest issue I had was not drinking it too fast! Like I said, there is a slight wait and it takes a couple of minutes so I would not recommend them if you want to grab a cup on the run. But if you have just a few extra minutes to sit and enjoy then you have to give them a try! I will be going back for sure.
Good vanilla latte but a little pricey at $5.50. Very cute spot. Would go back.
The Coffee Blossom was an insanely good drink. The staff was great as well!
Great drinks and food. Service was good. Atmosphere was relaxed and chill.
The service was pretty terrible for how few people were being served. It took them roughly 10 minutes to seat us (only 3 tables were full), 30 minutes to take our order, we didn’t get our waters until after we finished our food (had to ask for it twice), and we had to go to the counter to request the check. The presentation of the food was great, the fondue was tasty, the main courses were bland, the drink (willow something, can’t find it on their online menu) tasted like toilet bowl cleaner. The vibes were very appealing, but I wouldn’t go back for the taste or service.
Great drinks made by excellent bar tenders. One of my favorite spots in downtown Salem.
A favorite spot for a bourgeois beverage or snack. Outdoor seating is icing on the cake.
The food was pretty good, a little more expensive than your average coffee shop but it was a cool atmosphere and good service. I loved the old books and plants throughout the restaurant
The espresso French toast was amazing beyond words and the warm and toasty coffee was sooo good
Coffee was great. Service nice and a wonderful place to sit for a visit. Also the decor is unusual and worth a cup of Jo -especially on a cold day like the day we were there.
The food was good and staff was friendly, but going on a Saturday night the ambience did not match the theme. The music was loud and angry; we had trouble hearing each other talk. Perhaps other times it is quieter and more thought-provoking?
Great coffee and dessert, okay food 👍 atmosphere is great too
