My buddy is staying here a while, and every time I go visit I have a great time. The lake makes for a beautiful view, the bar is great, food is great, and everyone is super friendly. I spent a year on the road during COVID and I would have killed for even one RV park to have everything this park does. I don't do the trailer life anymore, but if I still did, I would absolutely stay here and recommend staying here.
Lakeside is awesome whenever I get a day off and have nothing to do I love going fishing at the lake and love playing video poker at osprey point rv the staff are friendly and helpful the food is good :)
The people in the office/store were very pleasant & accommodating. The RV sites are a little close & rough. We had a pleasant stay, & we will be back again.
Very nice experience here on ten mile lake. Large bathroom with showers also a pub with food on site.
Drove through last week , yes the pizza is very good , got to talk to some people who said that they lived there , they generally liked the staff and maintenance people , , May comeback with my rv to stay a week or so thanks
No trees therefore no shade!! Also, your neighbors seemed to be right on top of you!
We are here every summer, three months. Nice park and reasonable rates. Found out Casey is head of maintenance. He has a great attitude and is very helpful. He will be outstanding for your customers, unlike the guy last year. Casey was very helpful last year, good attitude. Casey did another outstanding job on his off day, to get our neighbor 50 amp service working. Glad he works for this park Also a shout-out for Big H, always very helpful and great for the park.....
Didn't stay at park but have had fun and average food in the Pub/Pizza. Takes a while but that's ok. We camp next store because there is actually legal dune access from County Campground. Osprey says on website dune access but that is FALSE you will be ticketed for not being on designated route. Labor Day weekend this year they allowed a group to stay in the field entering the park with very loud music playing from 8am until 3am 3 nights in a row. Every 3rd word was F@#$ very disrespectful to other campers and the community around.
Great place to stay. We were there for 2 months and have already booked for next year
Our vacation ended early because our gas tank was stolen off of our boat overnight in the marina. This experience ruined my husband's plans of showing me his favorite lake.
Wonderful gem outside of coos Bay. Stayed in a wonderful cabin I amazed by the activities available. Will definitely return with the kids
A wonderful park and resort. The staff were very kind and helpful. Their amenities made the weekend a real blast for the family. Very affordable pricing. The lake was amazing. We will be returning for sure! Very thankful to all the park hosts and staff. Everyone we met were so kind and hospitable.
Very nice rv park. They have 5 tiny homes they call cabins and a few tent sites you can rent for a reasonable price. Staff were friendly and so were the other people there. They have all the amenities bathroom, shower, laundry, game room, market, and pizza place. The only reasons for the four star were the water pressure for the shower sucked and the picnic tables are very small and low. 2 adults is all I would try to fit. The nearest beach access is about 15 minutes away so not to bad. There is an atv rental place just down the road. Definitely will come back but will rent one of the cabins. I'm getting to old for roughing it lol.
If your looking for the Hilton this isn’t the place for you. If you love a comfortable place with extremely helpful over the top friendly staff like Big H this is absolutely the place for you. We stayed in a cabin that had everything we needed a nice warm dry place with a kitchen and bathroom. Sure there are minor things here and there that could be done aesthetically but like I said it’s not the Hilton it’s a cozy cabin on the coast. They even have a bar with normal bar food and some pretty AMAZING pizza, they also have karaoke nights. My fiancé and I sat and had a few drinks and listened to people sing. We had a great time and plan on going back soon it’s a nice getaway
My family stayed here for Thanksgiving. We were in the Chalet cabin. Although I'd made my reservations a month in advance, when we got there, there was no one in the office and no one to meet us. We managed to get a key with the help of a resident, and were disappointed by the cabin. Firstly, it's on an incline (the whole thing slants downhill), secondly, the "sleeping loft" is too narrow for an inflatable mattress-- your face would be smashed against the ceiling! thirdly the kitchen is not "fully furnished" as I was reassured it would be-- there is no oven, which was a problem for us to cook our turkey, there were no cooking pots, only a frying pan, no can opener, etc... Finally, the way we met the park manager was when he ran up on us to yell at us for "speeding" in the park. We were doing about 20mph. He was very angry, growling about "signs all over the place that it's 5mph!", but when we later looked there was only one very small sign at the end of the entry driveway, which we didn't see because we were trying to find the office. We cancelled the reservation we'd made for the summer. This place is just not as advertised with an unfriendly manager. The response to my original post by the owner is that I am confused about the name of the park, but we were definitely at Osprey Point! Will they try to deny that they have a cabin they rent out called "The Chalet"? It is on their website!
My wife (Mary) and I and our little dog Mieko are staying here on a long term basis. We love the park and the people that work here. The management and the office team are very friendly and competent. The maintenance guys and camp host are very helpful and friendly, especially Big "H" , Tony, and Casey. Its a very friendly community. Yes, an occasional "bad apple" does show up and are trashy complainers that don't want to follow the rules, but the park management deals with them fairly and expeditiously. Yes, it rains profusely in the winter, but the park location is surrounded by water (lake & ocean) and so has its own micro-climate which is the best on the Oregon coast.
I chose this RV park because the website said there is access to the dunes from the park, person I talked to on the phone assured me that we could drive to the dunes from the RV park using our ATV. We were notified on our arrival that we could not drive in the RV park or drive to the dunes on my ATV. I would say I was deceived by false advertising. In addition to no access to the dunes from the campsite; their were additional problems; such as the 50 amp receptacle was broken and exposing the grounding prong, the electrical pedal was near the front of the trailer which would be a problem for most trailers. I was lucky to have an extra long electrical cord with me on this trip. The fire ring was turned upside down and appeared to be not usable since it was badly rusted out. The site could use some loving care some paper and other bits were scattered around my site. I noticed a sewage smell around the sewage receptacle, the ground near the sewage receptacle was slightly below ground level and be was damp. Perhaps the sewage line may be broken.
Well let's say there website is not right, and information they provide when calling is not correct... I along with a friend both reserved camping spaces for our toy haulers so we could ride from the campground to the Dunes...WRONG, their website says ride from here (see picture). We checked in and were told that we cannot ride out of the park without the risk of $400 fine from law enforcement... They went on to say I can leave my SxS at the county park. Really! I went on to ask them why are you telling people you can ride from here and wait until they arrive to tell them different? They said we don't have access to change the website only the owner does.. I have had these reservations for over a month.. still not a good answer. We ended up staying for one night and with that being said the cable TV did not work, they have started their winter hours a month early (see picture) and were not able to fix anything because they were closed at 1pm. That was the cherry on top for us... So with all the negatives there saving grace was they refunded all our money and my friends... We left after a night. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
They allowed tent campers in rv spots. These tent campers had a bed out on the grass. Mess everywhere on the table. I pick trailer spots because it allows for privacy. Very loud, people do not follow the quiet times posted. This place has the potential to be beautiful but needs to be managed better.
This RV park is a great location for exploring the Dunes. Spots are easy to pull into, though a little tight. The grass is all brown everywhere, which was doable. The restrooms were clean and well kept. But. The women’s showers had TEPID water at best. I’d say cold, but everyone’s perception of ‘cold’ is different. Nice spot to kayak on the lake as well.
