Delicious veggie burger, be sure to add grilled mushrooms! The burger patty, pickles, and fry sauce were all made in house. All around great experience thanks a hundred million!

Do yourself a favor and order the Sausage Breakfast burrito. It's hearty enough for the biggest lumberjack. The food is great, the people are nice. Prices in the convenience store seem lower than the Ruch market. Work hard, eat hard!

Applegate Store and Cafe is my favorite place to stop into as I pass through the beautiful community on my daily commute. Stacy has an amazing crew that works hard and takes the time to welcome and serve their customers in a professional way.The restaurant has wonderful food specials daily and the staff are friendly, clean., and quite pleasant talking too. So I'll give the Applegate Store and Cafe a five star rating!💚

4.2? I’d never eat here again, ever. Local or not. Terrible staff, terrible waitress, terrible management. Especially the cook, if he’s still there. Keep heading down 238 to Murphy, or Ruch, whichever direction you’re heading for much better. Or enjoy the Lodge, across the Hwy, if they’re open. Just don’t give these people your money. Shady folks.

Google lists the hours for the Store, but the Cafe inside opens at 8am, not 7am. The two one-star reviews are way off! The coffee is not charged per refill - if that really happened here, it must have been an untrained replacement waiter making a mistake! And I have no-idea what the person was thinking giving one star for "Love the people food coffee but ... i get a bad vibe when reading job list billboard like they don't like poor people" - what? (There is a funny sign in the lot with an oddly specific sign about no sleeping in your car and no playing musical instruments... maybe because the Inn across the street has wild music parties at night?) I've eaten here many times, mostly for breakfast but also for lunch, even though it's not very close by. The food I've had has all been good (I particularly like the "Crazy Potatoes"), and the coffee is good (and I have never been charged for refills). I have always experienced good and very friendly service. The seating area is connected to the little store, but I find it humble but quite cozy and charming, especially in the little section with hand-painted farm scenes. As for the prices, some people said it was expensive but I would say just moderately/reasonably priced for good non-industrial food. For example, we just shared the Crazy Potatoes (about $8), a French toast special with home-made raspberry jam and a berry butter etc, two eggs on the side and two coffee with refills for $25.25.
