Always a cool place to stop at! Their breakfast foods are excellent, especially their hash browns. Their milkshakes are also awesome. This is a neat stop and a literal modern day oasis. They have particularly neat custom Fields, Alvord Desert and Fields Station shirts and whatnot that are actually decently designed and of high quality. Overall not a hills-have-eyes-type place, more of a refuge—and frankly, if you’re out here you really ought to stop because there is literally no other civilization to stop at. This is the outpost!

The gas is expensive, but it’s because how remote this place is. Make sure and call ahead to ensure they are open, otherwise you might be stranded.

Middle of nowhere price gouge mentality. If they saw you were starving, they’d charge you even more.

Wow. I have never seen such a fuel mark-up. Never. Glad that I have an aftermarket extended tank. Yikes. Sadly, weren't even able to get one of the famous milkshakes without an hour wait the first attempt and a 30-minute wait the next morning.

Way to expensive. Paid $42.00 for 5 gallons of gas. Had to wait for shakes for over an hour twice. Never got one.

Honestly I really liked the old school pump station! I’ve never seen a working one before and thought it was cool to use! I’m not a sweets guy but I’ve heard they make some pretty good milkshakes!

The only gas station in more than 100 miles radius. The general store is great, good service. Food was great especially the milkshake

Stopped here for gas since it was the only option. I will do my best not to support this establishment in the future. Denio Junction, Frenchglen Mercantile and then once you get up to Crane, Burns, and Rome.. you may find more gas. Perhaps bring spare gas (generally speaking). It was $8.10/gal and you have to take a picture of the pump and bring it in to them. We also had to wait until 9 AM to get gas.. would be sweet to do it yourself, but that goes with the ole middle of nowhere business they've got going on. Regardless, the price was not the issue, nor was waiting until 9 am. Wish I caught her name, but the woman operating the register was quite rude and short when answering questions.. That's customer service, straight up. Wild that I can leave a review this long after being at this place for no more than 15 minutes. This is NOT an experience that I would recommend. You can get a good milkshake at a hole in the wall that doesn't disrespect people paying a more than fair price to support a business.

Shakes are amazing with a plethora of flavors to mix and match. They may have a small selection but often they'll have the one camping item you forgot. The crew that runs the small town are always welcoming and helpful.

$8 gallon for gas 😬 tried making some food in the shade and were told to leave immediately- I get that they’re a restaurant but out in the hot desert sun not allowing someone to make a sandwich feels a bit petty. People rave about the milkshakes though..

Great double bacon cheese burger and milkshakes. Employees were super helpful in the store and with directions for the area.

Outstanding milkshake, holy moly. Delicious breakfast food particularly bacon too. Gas is outrageous but it’s there as a safety as there’s no other options nearby. Nice place!

The store itself was a destination for a motorcycle rally. Got gas here, $7.00 a gallon well $6.99&9/10ths, shall we quibble 🤣. It was 34 degrees so I passed on what I hear are the best milkshakes in Oregon. I'll be back for one and a burger. I thought the place was great.

Quite possibly the best milkshake I've ever tasted in one of the most remote corners of the country. Their pricing is super reasonable (considering they are 3-hours from pretty much anything) and everyone working there was super friendly. Highly recommend stopping in to order something - but just be patient as they make everything by hand.

Beyond over the top service. Super friendly and down to earth! Would like to personally thank the staff here for such a wonderful experience. The burgers are very good, but the milkshakes out beyond amazing! If you're ever going down this way whether its by bike or car, make sure and stop here, it is worth it! Also the hotel is super nice and the handcrafted soap smelled good 👌
