No options for Oat coffee and bagels ran out by 9:45AM on a Monday morning. Lady was also a little rude and I felt rush while ordering. Day 2 - better, much nicer lady at counter.

On our yearly trip for our anniversary, we always stop here on our way home for some coffee. Last year, it was rich and delicious, this year it was burned and bitter. I'm not sure if they switched coffee or someone messed up the roast. Unfortunately, we go it to go and didn't taste it until we were 20 miles away. Disappointed to say the least. With this, our last trip to this quaint little shop is done.

Sleepy monk is the highlight of my day! The coffee is strong and delicious.I often find espresso too watered down or burnt tasting but that’s not the case here. The employees are super friendly as well! They really know their stuff and I love the organic label as well! I brew their beans at home too. Highly recommend!!!

I have been coming to Sleepy Monk for 19 years. It is the best Latte on the coast. Period. No competition. I love their beans. I love their merch. One of my favorite places in the PNW.

I’m from Portland and this place has better coffee because they take their time and make it with love.

Delightful little slice of Cannon Beach, Oregon. Don't skip out on their delicious specialty drinks and fresh baked treats!

Terrible attitudes from the staff after they got my wife’s drink wrong serving her something that she is allergic to and causing her servers discomfort for the rest of the day after just one sip. Both the lady that took the order and the second lady bringing the orders out made snotty comments as if we had done something wrong. We just wanted what we asked for, even though my wife never ended up getting the $7 drink we ordered. Never again!

Awesome place. Spectacular cold brew with strong flavor. The iced raspberry tea threw a party for my taste buds.

This is hands down the absolute best coffee shop in the PNW. The shop itself is tiny, but super charming and the folks who work there are absolutely lovely. The drinks are great. But the beans. The beans are the best beans I've ever had. Whoever they have as the master coffee roaster is an absolute genius. My family makes trips to Cannon specifically just to go to Sleepy Monk to stock up on beans every few months because we refuse to drink anything else at this point.

For me, visiting Sleepy Monk alone is worth the trip from Idaho to the Oregon coast. They just have the best roasts and blends (which we also have delivered to us at home). But a freshly made Druid’s Delight and a savory scone, on the beach? Unbeatable!

Awesome coffee! We buy the whole bean, they have several varieties to choose from. For inhouse my favorite is the Monetary Madness and the chocolate whipped cream on top is a must, so delicious! Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed. 😋

Really don’t understand the hype about this place. Waited in a long line for the clerk to be rude and dismissive. I asked for my beans ground for French press and they did espresso grind. They acted like I should know they’d be out of bagels by 11:30am. Overall just rude and not worth the wait. Seemed to delight in telling me that I should be in line at 8am if I want a bagel. Sorry, what?! We drove to Seaside for bagels - the Sleepy Monks get theirs from Bagels By The Sea anyway. Won’t be back. I wonder if the monks know how rude and condescending the staff is 😂 jk.

Delicious coffee and a wide selection of pastries. Wood paneled interior is warm and relaxing, a great place to read a book. They do not have wifi which is great. They have some covered outdoor seating.

The name “Sleepy Monk” is perfect for this place. It’s so cozy and sweet, especially on a rainy day!! The coffee was really good.

Love the medieval/LOTR vibe. Cozy I’m originally from Seattle and I have to say that this place has excellent coffee and a nice relaxing environment. I also really enjoy wearing their long sleeve T shirt. Fits perfect.

Stopped here on my way out of town in the early morning downpour across the street from my hotel. A quaint little wooden house cafe. Amazing service, incredible latte and an even more incredible lemon curd biscuit. The people here really care for their craft and it shows with the products they make.
