My first visit to Dudley's a few years back I encountered the previous owner 'Rebecca' who was rude & unfriendly. I'd accidently uttered "venti" when ordering a 20oz Americano, her snide reaction was "what's that?". Her attitude was sour as it gets, really off-putting. I figured as much as a book & coffee lover that I was she wasn't going to get anymore of my money. New owners I'd heard, so I gave Dudley's another chance. Pleasantly surprised; friendly staff with good books, good coffee & good atmosphere. Will be back again, thanks.
Very cute cafe and bookshop in Bend. The people were wonderful and made both coffee and book recommendations and I really appreciated that. I will be back next time I am in Bend.
A friendly, welcoming bookstore in the middle of downtown. I love bookstores. Yes, you can buy books on Amazon but nothing beats walking around, seeing staff-recommended books, discovering new genres that you never ventured into before. They have both of and new books. They have some seating space upstairs where people seem to be working/studying and a cafe downstairs. As you can see from all the pictures, the decor is cute and reminiscent of old bookstores. If you're a lover of books, you'd enjoy this place.

Love this place! Haven't tried the coffee yet but the atomesphere is so fun and bright love the selection of books they have.
A great bookstore. New items on first floor, used upstairs. Some seating and delicious espresso drinks. Highly recommend stopping by if you need caffeine or reading material.
Particularly Fabulous Customer Care...searching out hard to find books books...and making sure books and then making sure I received them..all with good humor and care...having had my own bookstore. This is my favorite bookshop in Bend! They have a great selection of both sci-fi and outdoor resource guides. The staff are super warm and make excellent recommendations! I always find what I’m looking for.
A really nice bookstore with a good selection of classics and modern literature. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Feels like you can spend half the day just browsing books and drinking coffee.

This place is a total vibe!! The staff is friendly but not intrusive on your visit. They have a lot of fiction books if that's your game. I didn't get a chance to try to coffee but it smelled delicious! You can bring your own book or dive into an interesting one there. Absolutely have to check out upstairs, I bought 7 books during my visit. Take your time, enjoy the vibes and if you can grab a coffee and spend some time in your new book! 🥰

Love this independent bookstore. We visit family in Bend often and always make time to visit Dudley’s and bring new books home to Washington. This store is like an “old friend” you can’t wait to catch up with.

Dudley’s is one of my favorite bookstores and cafes! The design and layout inside is perfect for reading and browsing, comfortable and cute. The staff is also always so welcoming and nice.
Dudley's is a must stop for us in Bend. The ambiance is so special, the people are so friendly and the books....ahh the books with the hand written recommendations of the staff always make for pleasant reading surprises. Grab a coffee and head upstairs to a comfortable seating area with views of Downtown Bend. Save your Amazon money and buy your books from magical places like Dudley's. You won't be disappointed.
