A freaking mazing food! Pad Tai was sweet and hot. The chicken sandwich was delicious! And the staff super friendly!
We come to the zoo almost weekly since we are members and this is one of the worst food places EVER. First off, it takes the cashier about 10 mins per guest just to take a order ! They’re not even making the food. You will wait 40 mins in line for soda and dry chicken. Bring your own food and drinks
Val is a lady with a bad attitude and reputation avoid her at all costs. She says we can't bring any outside food or drink. We've been bringing our own food for the past 5-6 years and eating inside. No one will stop me from feeding my hungry kids.
The food here is so awesome, I highly recommend the pad Thai and also the Genso Chicken Sandwich. The cook that’s short handsome and chubby makes really good food! P.s he wears glasses.
Horrid restaurant. $4.50 for a SODA. But don’t worry burger by itself is only $9, but for $6 more bucks you can add 4 fries and some bad customer service. I watched a waitress ignore the line and go make herself a drink in her dirty starbucks cup.
The general tso's chicken sandwich is as good as it sounds... Amazing!
You expect to pay crazy prices when an attraction has you trapped with no other options. But for those outrageous prices as least make the food decent. That is clearly too much to expect at an otherwise awesome zoo.
40 minutes later we finally received our food!! That’s after the lovely 8 mile hike (sarcasm) up to the place. Never again
The pad thai is inedible, it's way too salty and obviously microwaved. But the burgers are okay
Worth the trek to the other side of the zoo for lunch. Great A/C and great food too. All 3 of us boys had the Rex's cheeseburger combos and my wife had the Asian chopped salad with chicken. Burgers were delicious and the fries were very tasty and cooked to perfection, crisp outside and tender inside. Fairly fast and friendly service. Would recommend this for a delicious meal while at the zoo.
We had a group of 8 folks all ready to pass out by the time we saw this place. Good location geo break as it's almost half way mark. General Tso's chicken was terrible - tasted nothing like it and ended up trashing this and eating the kids French fries. Chicken tender was hard and dry and the baby barely took a bite. The burgers were decent and so was the pizza. But the portion size was very small for the price. In terms of aesthetic, seating and cleanliness - it was good.

High prices and got charged for a cup of water because the soda machine was broke.
Just had the General Tso's Chicken Sandwich and even though the place was really busy my order came out really fast and the sandwich was absolutely amazing!!!
The food at the Lotus cafe is so sad and completely inedible. Such a waste of a great space. This is a missed opportunity to have a really great food experience in a fun atmosphere. We just spent $50 on food for 3 people and one of those meals was a kids meal with a corn dog and fries. Everything tastes like a low quality frozen box meal and we threw away 75% of it. We come to the zoo often but don’t eat here much. We have eaten at other locations within the zoo and it was much better. What you would expect of burgers and fries, etc. I don’t expect it to be 5 star but when the majority of the food goes in the garbage, that’s pretty bad. I know this could be so much better for the price.
Gave me the entirely wrong order (which was also made wrong) and gave me only a quarter of the amount of food for the order they got wrong. I'm disappointed entirely. I really hoped it would be great.
After 20 min chicken tenders and onion rings still weren’t ready. I asked and they said they paged me but the buzzer never went off. I took burnt tenders and fries and never got my drink. This cost me $20. The staff was at least very polite about it.
