Traveling through Ohio we discovered a great coffee shop across from the Post Office. Double Punch day was a bonus! Great atmosphere, clean and the coffee choices were delicious. Friendly staff. Highly recommend making this a stop when you're in Port Clinton.
Unsafe space for LGBTQ+ community since the change of ownership, new owner allows, and participates, in hate speech in this establishment. Quality of product and people has declined severely.
Great place to go listen to old men actively engage in hate speech.
The best chocolate muffin I have ever had was from here. This spot is now a must stop location for all of my trips to the lake!
Great little spot. Coffee was good, they had a plant based food thing to try, atmosphere was pleasant, and the people were as pleasant as can be. Great little spot!! I wasn't planning to write a review, so I only have pictures of our cars out front.
Great friendly atmosphere and cozy space. After reading some other reviews and did a little digging. I couldn't believe ppl think they are bigots at this place. They've been respectful to everyone I've seen come here. Especially my friend and her girlfriend. There's a really nice Trans woman that comes in and I never saw even a sideways look from the staff. If you think this coffee shop isn't such a safe place I challenge you to see for yourself. It's a great part of our neighborhood!
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but you get the respect you give. It’s a two way street. Completely disappointing and unprofessional to see any employee, let alone a business owner, allow for and partake in such hateful, disgusting, and inconsiderate conversations so openly. It really ruins any desire to do business or attempt to decompress in a place when the setting seems to be filled with such negative energy.
So sad to see to see this place go down hill after new ownership… used to be my favorite place to go. I will NOT be spending my money here ever again.
My coffee lasted was delicious. The spinach tomatoe quiche was very good. Customer service was impeccable and the atmosphere is always quaint. I love it in there.
I just saw a very upsetting video on TikTok of a customer recording a conversation happening amongst staff at this establishment that was horrendously transphobic and homophobic. I hope that any staff that is bringing this vitriol into this establishment are fired immediately. This is not a safe business for queer and trans folk.
Employee can be audibly indulging hate speech. I’d never let my family or I eat somewhere where such vulgarity from customers is indulged by the staff
Employee and a customer had a whole conversation about the transgender community in a horrific way. Talk about a place that would make you feel unsafe and unwelcome for just being different. Highly recommend not coming here.
Employees and customers were comparing being transgender to the most vile crimes. 🚩 This is not a safe space for LGBTQ+. 🚩 Video: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRwr8mbo/
If you want your coffee with a side of bigotry then you can go here. Employees/owners feel comfortable talking out loud in front of customers about their distaste of the LBGTQ+ community and that they need conversion therapy. Honestly disgusting experience and will never return.
Such a shame. I’ve been coming here every day each time we visit, usually a couple of weeks at a time. When it was owned by Tina and Rebecca, it was amazing. Everything was delicious & carefully made. Unfortunately, they sold the business a couple or three years ago & the new management has no idea how to run the business. The staff seems almost surly. The food rarely comes out as it should. What ever breakfast sandwich I order always comes out hot on top & cold on the bottom. Usually something crucial is left out or mistaken: wrong bread, no ham. The wait time is longer, of course. On of the brightest spots in port Clinton is pretty effectively ruined. The staff is pretty young so this all falls squarely on the new owner’s shoulders. It’s clear all she wanted was a ready money making opportunity and lucked into one with a built in clientele which she is now demolishing. The last time I went, the extra time waiting in line was spent commiserating with other patrons about how awful coffee express as become & where else to go from now on.
Some of the best pastries and coffee I’ve had! Would highly recommend
One of our favorite stops while we were in Port Clinton! The staff was so friendly and helped us pick out something perfect. They have so many unique options for coffee, pastries and sandwiches. I got the cranberry Orange muffin and it was perfectly tart and not overly sweet. The voo doo coffee was a white chocolate and hazelnut latte. It reminded me of a hazelnut hot chocolate. The shop is inside of a cottage and it's so cute. There is definitely something for everyone.
Go for the baked goods! They have too many to choose from at reasonable prices. They have a few types of coffee, but that's really an afterthought. Easy to get to location, and friendly staff.
Stopped on the way through Port Clinton for breakfast. The line was a little long but the staff was putting in the work to keep up as they were under staffed. Our coffee and food were awesome.
A gem within Port Clinton. If you’re looking for options for coffee and breakfast/snacks definitely come here it’s a nice clean little joint with a very friendly staff.
