I hate coffee, their bakery is delicious though so I can't complain!
This is a cute, little coffee shop that's very close to Muskingum university. It is difficult to find, but the owners have put an effort into having signs out along Route 40 (one hanging and one sitting on the sidewalk) to help you locate it. My reason for giving 3 stars is 1) they don't greet you when you walk in, and 2) they have Christian music blaring. First, I'm a local, and every single time I've gone into this coffee shop, I am not greeted by any staff. I've walked all the way up to order, stood at the register to order, and have waited to be talked to for several minutes. I understand they're busy, but a simple, "Hello! We'll be with your shortly!" is an easy way for customers to feel seen and welcomed. They don't even do that. Second, I understand we all have our own belief systems and I respect all of them, but I don't feel like playing Christian music at a loud volume is appropriate. If the staff want to listen to that music while they work, they can absolutely have it playing at an appropriate level in the kitchen so they can hear it while they work, but quiet enough that those coming to the coffee shop have a quiet place to study, a quiet place to work or have video/phone conferences, or hold a normal-volume-level conversation with someone. Finally, New Concord is a place that has a lot of diversity, cultures, religions, etc., which means not everyone who goes to Chapman's is a Christian. Playing one-dimensional music that doesn't include or welcome all who enter doesn't feel appropriate.
Friendly great service. Enjoyed coffee & breakfast sandwich very reasonably priced
This is an awesome little coffee shop! It is definitely worth the drive!
I got the peppermint mocha and it was great! The flavor was smooth and got more of the chocolate flavor as I drank it. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, but I recommend coming at a non-peak hour if you’re looking to grab a table. The white chocolate raspberry scone was great too! Most scones are dry, but this one was perfectly moist!
I am not a huge fan of coffee which is no blame to them but they do offer some alternatives. The food is good too. I recommend stopping by some time. They are located just off the main road adjacent to the John and Annie Glenn museum.
I really enjoy stopping here whenever I go to Columbus. Good coffee and friendly employees.
The cutest little coffee shop! Stopped on my way through and was so happy I did. I got the recommendation from the barista to try the “Cow Tail”, so good! Fantastic place to hang out with really kinda staff.
Great atomosphere!
Nice menu, fun place.
Customer service is awful - right after forgetting to get me the scone I ordered, right in front of me they verbatim said “we’re bad at our jobs”. They blast Jesus freak religious music. The vibe here is bad. Do better.
We discovered this wonderful coffee shop on our return home from a long road trip. This shop is conveniently located off I-70. They have excellent coffee, smoothies, and baked goods. The shop is spacious inside with multiple sitting rooms, a relaxed ambience, and board games for kids (Loved Battleship). Fantastic rest stop…definitely would come again!
Always a great local coffee shop stop. Love the thoughtful decor and ole timey games you can take to your table to play. Near the local small town college so always has a smart, academic feel ...great place to get out of the house and work on your laptop! They have a bread free breakfast bowl option so I don't have to pund weird and order a sandwich without the bagel/muffin! Love that! And they have real mugs for dine in coffee. It's a great place to chill. Also cute outdoor tables under a shade tree. Small Town perfection.
Wonderful coffee! Great breakfast sandwich!
I love their coffee and Morning treats. Bit pricey. Hard to see from road. Quite quick and a cozy place to eat. Update: still a great place to eat at. The staff are awesome and I still love the food and coffee. I recommend this place to everyone.
I always enjoy stopping at Chapman's Coffee House when driving through the area. Today I had a breakfast sandwich of egg, bacon, and avocado on a toasted bagel with a caramel macchiatto hot drink. Everything was very tasty. The employees are wonderful. The dining area is clean and comfortable. This is such a great place. Thank you Chapman's Coffee House for being a great place and experience.
Such a cute and cozy place to have a breakfast/lunch and meet with friends. They have a big variety of drinks (coffee, tea, smoothies) and food.
excellent food and coffee for a good price
Stopped by here on a long drive back home and got a delicious bonfire latte and blueberry muffin and was an excellent pit stop pick me up! I highly recommend!
Lovely atmosphere and wonderful coffee. Also split smoothie with our toddler, which Id also recommend. Classic games up front to enjoy with coffee by your side too.
