Great price and a fantastic small batch coffee. Latte art was good and we would be happy to visit again.

Store layout rearranged and interior seating added since last visit 2 years ago. Friendly staff. Quality product...coffee and pastries... didn't try anything else if there was that option. As a dog owner, happy to see a "no dogs" sign only because they are now treating everyone the same.... used to have dogs inside hit or miss. A tie up post for the waiting dog outside would be nice.

Great neighborhood coffee shop in a restored firehouse. Prices were appealing, coffee was terrific. We will return.

Another in the line of good Cleveland coffee shops. It is a good place to meet a colleague while drinking a cup of coffee eating some banana bread.

One request I have is can you post your roast dates on your bags? I make purchasing decisions based on nearest roast date and supporting local companies.

Good coffee but very rude guy served my coffee. Blondish guy with mustache wearing a cropped t shirt on 4/15. “Don’t just grab our milk” I nicely said “oh sorry, I didn’t know” — no response. Lame dude, don’t be a jerk.

Rising Star is not just rising. It is risen like the sun on a glorious spring morning, the coffee glinting like dew on the rim of my coffee cup. Oh, Rising Star, you wake me and make my day shine. #SamWentCorporate

This isn’t your average coffee shop. They go above and beyond. Kudos to Sam for always being a fantastic barista! I also highly recommend checking out their amazing coffee bean selection. This location is the only RS I frequent and they will repeatedly get my business.

Good coffee but incredibly rude staff. If you show up within an hour of close, they act like you’re the biggest inconvenience on the planet. They actually act like that most of the time, regardless of time of day. Constantly talking under their breath and rolling their eyes at you. There are way too many coffee shops in the area to deal with the attitude. Done with them. Go elsewhere.

It was my first time visiting this coffee shop, I’ve heard great things about their coffee and I was excited to try it. The staff recommended promised land latte, and he was not wrong! I really enjoy the flavor of the coffee and the barista did a great job with the latte art, it was simple but well received. The place is small and it’s not suitable for large group gathering, at least not during winter. They have some table outdoors for warmer times. They are usually pretty busy but the service run fast. There is not a garage parking, so for people who don’t like street parking, this might not be the location they want to try the coffee. The parking is not hard but is unpredictable if you can find a available spot depending on the time you are planning to visit.

I’m a recent resident of Ohio city and live walking distance to this location. The cashier whose a white bald male with glasses on 1/25 Acted like a know-it-all, rude and displeasing. I asked for an ice latte with syrup. Not sure how that would be a problem if you’re competing with lekko, Edda, Starbucks, and more . I’m from Out of state and will not deal with the attitude here.

Rising Star in Ohio City is one of my favorite coffee shops in Cleveland. Even if not for the large front window creating natural lighting and the ambient exposed brick, I would still go to Rising Star for the baristas and the drinks served there, including one of my favorites, their Mocha

Do yourself a favor and get their coffee beans to take home. Changed my life. Absolutely amazing. Nothing like what’d you’d get at the grocery store or Starbucks. Roasted to perfection. Also, if your dining in, the vanilla bean latte my perfect drink! Not too sweet. Always great service. Cute, clean environment.
