We would love the cheeseburger soup recipe.
So I called weekend before last and ordered a carrot cake for my services dogs 1st Birthday. ( yes were those people) We picked it up last weekend and forgot to tell them to write happy birthday on it. The baker already put the carrots in icing on it so there was no room for it, but they put a purple number 1 on it! Her collar when she was born was purple. ( also my favorite color ) We never asked Old World Bakery to put that color on it, but they did! Thank you so much Old World bakery for making our day! We will be back for coffee and treats soon!
Great food friendly service Saturday morning breakfast will not disappoint
So my friend, my service dog, and I try to meet here a couple times a month. Mostly for coffee and treats. Today surprisingly there was hardly any one there, so I was served right away. Not only are their baked goods made super fresh they will add topings to it. The iced Chi Latte is to die for! My only complaint is that they don't have big enough cups for it. Yes it's that good. Not only did the owner bag the treats up for us, but he carried them to the table! Given that I'm mobility challanged I appreciate that so much! We will be back to try their dinners one day soon.
Service Dogs welcome? She behaves perfectly and was wearing an identifying vest and leash. Was the challenge necessary? Otherwise the sub was not made to order. Donut and cannoli were tasty.
I rarely rate anything a 5 star! This is a comfortable inviting eatery. You order and pay at the counter. There is a rare window into the kitchen. (SPOTLESS) The service is friendly and prompt. I orderd a small container of the soup of the day portobello cream soup. It was thick, flavorful and had many large (but manageable) pieces of obviously fresh mushrooms. It was perfectly seasoned. I almost didn't want to eat my half of the meatball sub I split with my sister but; I am so glad I did! This is a bakery so it goes without saying the bread was perfect. It was crunchy and a little bit flaky but heavenly light. It was the perfect companion for the tender juicy lightly sauced meatballs. The bread soaked up a little sauce without falling apart making it a relatively neat sandwich to eat. The sauce was perfectly balanced. Not too sweet or salty or acidic just delicious. The cheese was of a good quality so it stretched and released with each bite. It actually tasted good and added tothe overall quality and depth of the sandwich. ( not the one bite and it's hanging out of your mouth variety here). I had a piece of chocolate cake with cannolli filling. It rivaled any bakery in NY or NJ that I have ever had . .and that's saying alot. Someone loves this business and the community it's in. There's a large chalkboard for dreams as you enter ( a puppy..to marry so and so..own an ice cream shop). There is also an area with pre-paid meal vouchers taped to the chalkboard stating take one if you need to. Who wouldn't want to eat here. It's all about the love.
This is the absolute best place in town to eat! Outstanding food and excellent service and great prices - Old World Bakery is our "go-to" when we want something special in Valdese!
We stopped in here for a quick snack on a road trip and now it's a staple. The overfilled donuts are so good. Like, so good! I've also had the bagels and a few of the sandwiches, and it's all amazing. The other thing I loved about this place was the tiny kid's toilet in the restroom, its directly across and facing the full size toilet. It makes me laugh everytime I see it. Sadly, no one wants to sit with me in there!
Delightful bakery with wonderful staff! Morgan and Tony took exceptional care of us. Delicious!
The BEST pastries and coffee in town! You HAVE to come check this place out and support this local business. I highly recommend the donuts and the cinnamon rolls!
Ate here a few times but the BEST thing I've had was the crab chowder! It made my tummy happy and was perfect for this oncoming cold weather.
The food and desserts here are delicious. This is a weekly lunch date for us!
THE BEST place to eat in Valdese. Fresh, delicious, made with care, and served by genuine and nice people. Don’t you dare go across the street to that greasy, outdated, apathetic diner.
I had been gifted some baked goods -donuts, brownies, cupcakes- from here, and they were absolutely beyond delicious. I'm definitely requiring this as an essential visit when I swing through Valdese in the future.
Lunch today was great! Loved the Cuban! Excellent service! Gonna miss this place!
Amazing Food. But spent 40 dollars for 2 adults and a child. Then there was 1 clean table that all 3 of us could sit at.
Great coffee and friendly staff. Good value for the money!

Philly cheese steak sub was delicious, donuts were oversized and very good.
