Best Blackberry Lavender Scones Ever & Outstanding Customer Service!
Did not eat, but coffee and service was good, ambiance was GREAT.
Not enough great things to say about this place! If you're in the area do yourself the favor and visit! Everyone there is beyond friendly 10/10.
Great coffee Great scones Great service!
Cute little cafe with surprisingly delicious food. We tried one of their lavender scones, it tasted freshly baked and not too sweet. Also got a croissant breakfast sandwich, the scrambled eggs were fluffy, it had the right amount of cheese, and the croissant was the right amount of flakiness. Also good coffee and cute atmosphere. It was pretty busy when we visited, they seemed to have a constant stream of customers.
New team training at time of visit, so I didn’t take a star away for that, but for the training manager who could’ve done a better job during the rush and didn’t know the products. (I was told I was getting a rather expensive pastrami sandwich that turned out to be roast beef. It was still good though, there wasn’t proper signage in front of the selection of food either) He seemed more frazzled and less polite than the newbies. If I was in the area I’d go back though.
Very unique family shop filled with a lot local art. Absolutely wonderful staff and the Honey Lavender was fabulous. Definitely worth the visit, especially if you are looking for that local mountain hospitality. Thank you again! We will be back!
We were there for a tasting of the Catering and everything was so delicious! The staff was so kind and it just went perfectly. We also tried the pumpkin spice latte and it was amazing! We heard they make a pretty mean hot chocolate and can't wait to try that some day.
What a bizarre place! This was our first time going here, and we will never return. The woman at the counter was so incredibly scattered, she kept messing up our order and saying it's "too early" for her (it was 10am). The poor gentleman making the drinks (who really seemed to care) was trying to manage her mistakes and the customers. We ordered a chai, and they ran out of the mix. That's fine, it happens, but we replaced it with a lavender earl gray tea. I asked about the price difference and they said the tea would be more but they were taking care of it. I find this hard to believe that an earl grey tea is more money than a chai latte. I didn't press the issue since I'm confident the woman behind the counter seemed confused with the interaction. The setup of the cafe is very strange. We weren't really sure where to walk in and the other customers just seemed to stand around. There really isn't any organization. Drink orders are written on a small piece of paper, and in the small amount of time we were there the woman at the counter forgot and/or lost 2 different people's orders. The thing that got us the most - $1.25 for oat milk!!! What?! Most cafes usually charge between 50-75 cents for dairy-free milk. I really wish we didn't stop here or give this place a try. I hope the owners read this and talk to their staff about how to be professional and better organized. The one positive aspect of our first and last experience at Moments was thanks to the gentleman making the drinks. He was polite, communicative, and made a good coffee. He deserves a raise for everything he had to deal with.
The order took a long time even though we were first in line and others had received their orders. The mango smoothie tasted like they threw an entire mango in with a bit of orange juice, pit, skin and all. I didn’t even finish it
Out of towners looking for a good cup of Joe!! To heck with Dinkins and Starducks!! This is the place!! Service with a laugh and a smile!!! Enjoy!!
Sweet coffee/yummy baked goods shop. Nice space to hangout and chat. The only thing is I wish they'd use compostable togo products - less plastic. Update: Thank you! Glad to hear you're moving to compostables. Don't forget coffee lids, since we can't use our reusable mugs due to public health concerns.
Beautiful people work here and amazing food/beverages!! My new favorite place in the Swannanoa/Black Mountain area. Thank you moments ohana 💖
I love this little coffee shop. It's a super cozy place to meet up with a friend or get some computer work done. They make their own delicious deserts and scones. The coffee is delicious and the staff is always friendly.
The people were extremely friendly and the place was very well maintained. Many selections of coffee and scones that were delicious. The scones are handmade. I 100% recommend!
