I bought an almond croissant here yesterday because it was pretty and I wasn't sure what to expect, but omg it was amazing! Last week I had the salmon toast and it was delish too.

Strong Arm would be exceptional if it were in a big city but is a real gem in little Oxford. The bakery is fantastic and the pizza is as good as any in Durham. Get the porch drop if you can't make it.

Cute coffee shop & bakery with friendly staff and very affordable prices. We enjoyed their breakfast sandwiches. I had the biscuit with egg & pimento, my friend had the croissant with egg & cheese. My FAVORITE part of the meal was the Apple Bourbon Crumb Cake 🤤 it paired so well with their delicious drip coffee (free refills). They have complimentary metal pitchers with fresh ice water and some nice t-shirts and merchandise available. I parked right out front with no problems. I highly recommend this place.

Hands down the best place to eat in Oxford! But even beyond the small town comparison, their baked goods and pizza are some of my all time favs and objectively amazing. Their staff and service is also superb. I love Strong Arm a lot.

Great food, trendy spot! Great salad and pizza. Delicious desserts! Fun town to explore, gorgeous old homes and tree-lined streets.

The service was terrible, but the pastries and bread were ok so giving it 2 stars. Bring cash unless you want to pay the 3% extra charge for using a credit card (which they don't mention) and note that their default tip options start at 20% and goes up from there. Also be careful because they overcharged me for an item, I asked them to correct it while they were ringing it up, they said they did but actually didn't. Thank goodness I asked for a receipt! I had to go back afterwards to get them to refund me the difference (which they did, but they didn't refund me either the tax or the 3% credit card fee). As for the pastries we got, they were fine (the danish wasn't fully cooked inside so it was kind of doughy and wet instead of flaky but the flavor was good. They savory spinach roll is made with a sweet bread base so it's good if you like sweet with your savory).

We live 1.5 hrs away but we happily make the drive one Saturday every month to come enjoy a bacon egg and cheese biscuit and stock up on pastries for that weekend. The iced coffee is delish too. Love visiting every time.

This bakery a gem. Great customer service you would expect in a small country town. Looking forward to coming back soon.

The store is beautiful. I tried the cinnamon pull apart and was disappointed there was no detectable cinnamon in the pastry.

Updated review: We went back to Strong Arm last week and the service was great, the food delicious, and the drive out there was beautiful. We'll definitely go again. Strong Arm Baking is taking the Triangle Area by storm and we kind of love it. Quality baked goods that are consistently delicious are a total win and it's been really fun to see how many local places use Strong Arm right now. The only real complaint is that the service has been less-than-friendly the couple times we've been to their store-front location. Our last trip in, it seemed as though we were inconveniencing the staff when asking questions about what was in the case and overall we walked away feeling like we paid a decent amount of money to be treated pretty poorly - but at least the baked goods were delicious. We'll snag some Strong Arm goodies from local places in the future, but likely won't make the trip out to Oxford again.
