You can drive or boat to this destination. This place has been completely renovated. It's a one stop shop.
This is a great local hangout. It's right on the sound and they rent boats. They have live music, drinks are reasonable and the food is awesome.
Even though it's small, this was a great place to enjoy eating outside with a great view of the sound! Their bartender made a delicious peach on the beach and the bang, bang shrimp and beef taquitos from their food truck were fantastic! Not very crowded, but they had a great band playing. A welcome change from big crowds and very loud music!

Went for all you can eat breakfast and it was good prices for good food and a great view of the sound . Nice place I will most definitely be going there again !
Great place. We've been a few times now, and each experience has been enjoying! We've brought friends and will tell others. We'll be back!

We had a great time at the trading post! My daughter loved to go and see the water and inside is really nice. I will be going back there!
Went and got breakfast here this morning… absolutely phenomenal. Staff is extremely kind and attentive.

First weekend for the buffet. The drinks and overall service were good. The buffet itself was underwhelming. We ended up getting some bacon and hash browns. It seems the food truck couldn't replenish the buffet items in a timely manner. A handful of folks came in only to be met with limited buffet options. We enjoyed the breakfast the last time we came in before it was buffet style. Don't think we'll be returning for breakfast.

First time visiting the trading post for breakfast. Nice atmosphere and employees were good. Went with other people. We were all disappointed with the food. Food came out very cold and hard. Toast was just white bread. Waitress said it is only Like 23 degrees in the food truck. If they brought out the food to some of us right away it would of been at least edible. The waitress was nice enough to take my breakfast off the bill. She fixed my friends bill too. I am going home on a empty stomach. Giving 4 stars because overall a nice place..just fix the food issue.
Fun place! We met some other MINI owners on a Saturday. We had good food and conversation inside while looking out on the beautiful sound. We're looking forward to warmer weather again when we can launch our kayak from there and enjoy more time! Our 105 mile loop from VaBch and then over the Knott's Island/Currituck Ferry with brunch at the Trading Post made for a great day!
Great small mom and pop place! They were open on Christmas Eve for breakfast and WOW was it worth it! 15 degrees outside and the food came out of the food truck piping hot and amazing!! Definitely a must stop if you are in the area!
