Excellent food and very enjoyable for the price
Love, love, love abigails! Their fried chicken and sweet tea are beyond good! & I don’t even like sweet tea. They also offer daily specials, that are equally as good!

I picked up food for a buisness here. We made it known over the phone it would be 3 separate order and 3 separate payments. I called in at 12:15, the food was NOT ready until 1:45. Absolutely inexcusable. When I approached the counter I notified her it would be 3 separate payments. Of course she continued as if she didn’t hear me until I said MAAM, they are separate. She proceeds to tell me oh well, I would have to get 8 dollars from someone when I got back to the buisness. Excuse me? I will never visit this establishment again. The lady working the register is beyond incompetent for the job.
The honest to God worst customer service in the world. Never go for lunch because you will wait for hours if you decide to wait on your food. Honestly the food is really good but it doesn't take the place of understanding people do not have all day to wait for their food unless they are retired and plan to wait all day. They will run out of what you ordered on your plate and never tell you so you continue to wait for 45 minutes to an hour and when you asked about it they'll say "oh we ran out of that so we didn't make your plate, do you want something else" the only reason this place is still in business and has good ratings is because the food is good but the wait and the lack of communication with staff ridiculous. If you sit down and eat inside the women waiting tables are all angry with each other no one knows what each other is doing. Just give it a try you know exactly what I mean.

Whenever I visit Lumberton, a meal from Abigail's is a MUST!! There's no better Southern Cooking anywhere, it never disappoints. The Owners Carolyn & David are two of the sweetest people, and their hospitality is so endearing. I look forward to my visits with them.🥰

Co-Hosted a Bridal Brunch in my hometown of Lumberton and we had an absolutely delicious lunch! Thank you ladies at Abigail's Tea Room--tasted like my Mama's fried chicken, cabbage and potato salad. You cannot get any higher praise than that!
