Nice place to stop for a travel break or get some fuel. Do some souvenir shopping inside.
Cute little store! We didn't eat but we grabbed cold drinks and a oatmeal cookie sandwich that was delicious! It was a friendly experience! After reading the reviews, I wish I was hungry to try food! Maybe next time. I recommend stopping if you are in the area!
What a lovely place! The lunch was delicious ( chicken sandwich and catfish plate ( catfish was under cooked but my DH said it was good…. Hey he eats sushi) the hand cut fries make it worth the drive! The chicken sandwich was great! The oatmeal pies were a bit firm... but the taste made up for texture! YUMMY! The back deck was a win and my pooch enjoyed being with us during lunch!

Everyone is so nice in this door. Every time I come through this part of the state I stopped and get gas and something to eat.
The restaurant was closed that day. But it is a great stop.
The restaurant had yet to open for the season. We still enjoyed a classic Dr. Pepper and home made oatmeal cream pie. The staff were so very nice and helpful. We spent at least 20 minutes just hanging out.
This is a cute store. Cute porch with lots of rockers. They weren't open for eating there yet for the season but we were able to purchase a frozen chicken pot pie which was large enough for 4 plus leftovers ($20 I think). We also grabbed a few of these huge individually wrapped oatmeal cookies with white frosting in them (super rich...enough for two treats ..$3.99 each).
The cool store on the motorcycle run on 209 called the Rattler. They also have gas there.
Went for a ride with our dogs to get ice cream. Love this place.
We had a group of Porsches on a drive and decided to have this place as our stop for food and gas. Good food and great service

Love this store. The staff is awesome and so friendly. The TexMex bake, the breakfast burritos, and the Oatmeal Cream Cookies are amazing. The charm of this mountain oasis is always worth the stop.
Fantastic little market, their homemade cafe meals are delicious and they are so friendly! They even gave us a map on hiking trails and how to get there!
Please, please do not leave without the homemade Oatmeal pie! I wish I had one right now!! I can never eat a Little Debbie again.
Stopped by to use the restroom and grab a coffee before hitting the Rattler. Beautiful store with lots of handmade items. A very lovely and polite lady behind the counter. We would definitely stop by again in the future.
Honestly some of the best damn food I've ever had in my life. Please don't be fooled by others complaining about price or "Dinging them because they don't have Beer". The food is honestly fantastic if you want a great small town restaurant with amazing food this is it. It's homey feeling and just overall great. For cost of food you get what you pay for and what you get is amazing.
Im a little confused. I grew up in FL and just accidentally had the best Cuban sandwich of my life in a cafe attached to a general store in the middle of nowhere NC. I live 45 mins away and am highly considering coming back on purpose. You should too.
Cute little country store where you can grab a bite to eat, grab some locally made things, and rest your eyes from driving on all the twisty roads. Lots of parking for cars and bikes - also has fuel.
