Toby makes the best food. Their service is unmatched. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Stopped in on a trip to Edenton; Kelly was magnificent as the server. She made excellent recommendations. Had a last minute old fashioned with tequila that was out of this world. Met an old friend and Kelly recommended the outside area. It was an awesome experience! Too bad I live in Alabama; would like to try more of the seasonal cocktails and some of the other food!

20/10. We got the raw oysters, duck stroganoff, shrimp and grits , and the lemon/cracker-crust dessert. Everything was delicious, the service was perfect, and the organic bottle of sauv blac was one of my favorites I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back!
It was the first time going there but I will definitely go back. Food and service were amazing and the music was just right so you don't have to tell over anyone in a conversation.
The funny thing is… I’ve ALWAYS wanted to eat here… I mean for YEARS; then I finally got the opportunity to dine inside and now, I have absolutely NO intentions to go back (talk about a disappointment). The food was okay (I could do with/without it). The male server we had was very friendly and so were a couple of the greeters (which is why they were given a star). It could’ve been two stars because the steak wasn’t bad (but the salad was gross and had wayyy too much vinaigrette on it and the fries tasted like they’d been fried in old grease or baked in a dirty oven), but the worst of it were the attitudes of the the ladies behind the bar… they were ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! I approached the bar to ask for a take-out plate for my co-worker and they looked at me as if I were speaking in tongues! Our server happened to walk up behind me (as I was asking for the plate) and he gladly helped but prior to him helping, they didn’t even say A WORD to me, they just looked at me, then pointed to him…gesturing for me to ask him (how rude and unprofessional could they be?) It was already cold inside the restaurant and those cold attitudes made it seem even colder. This is not the warm and inviting environment I imagined it to be. I’m so happy I didn’t bring my children to this establishment!
3 hours for dinner with open tables. Tapas very poor. Formerly go to, now go not.
This was not a terrible experience, but it certainly wasn't an experience, but beyond the ambiance I was not impressed with the food. My date had the shrimp and grits, which she said she enjoyed. But it was a very small portion. My burger was not cooked to my request of medium, but instead was brought to table very well done. Not at all flavorful and the fancy 'frites' did not impress. They were OK, but nothing better than what I could have found from a frozen bag somewhere. I went to this restaurant expecting something a bit more, especially considering the prices. Was sorely disappointed. We also had the cheeses plate. Very small, just a few slices of cheese and again I was not impressed. We also had to ask for refills on our club soda, something I don't expect to have to do in what purports to be a high scale restaurant. This was my second experience, and the first was not much better. Doubt I will be going back.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of the Carolinas. Possiblely the country. ❤️

Visited this restaurant several times now and always have excellent service and amazing food. Bartenders drinks are spot on and the venue is very nice. Definitely recommend checking the Starlight cafe out!
Cheese plate appetizer was amazing, served with warm bread, onion jam, and toasted nuts. You have your choice of cheese. I highly recommend Red Dragon. It is a perfect flavor bite with the bread, cheese, jam and nuts. Entrées were good. Burger cooked to order, steak a bit rare of order. Fries perfectly seasoned. Wish dinner included a small salad. Service was excellent. Restaurant was not too busy on a Thursday evening. We set our dinner pace to include lots of catch-up visiting and never felt rushed by the wait staff. Ambience is rustic and trendy.
Starlight Cafe and Farm is a great local spot that provides a great ambience and great food. Their tapas trio is great to start and the steak is always on point. As stated the ambience is perfect for all occasions including date night or big groups. Their cocktails are delicious as well. A rotating seasonal menu that always delivers, this is a great sport for friends, families, and date nights. My family usually goes once a month!
I was on a first date and we parked near the café. My car dies on me, it is 11pm and they weren't opened, but they saw I was having trouble and came to help. They let me and my date in and gave us some water and helped us at a time of need. I will for now on be going here for future date nights. My parents also went here for their anniversary, they said the food was amazing an reasonably-priced. Family owned business, I may not have gotten the names of the people who helped me, but I will be seeing you guys again soon. And thank you so much for the help, I am eternally grateful.
The atmosphere and wait staff were amazing!!! Great craft cocktails and unique farm to table rotating menu!
