Tried Burney's last month when I was in town, it was good. Made the mistake of going back and it was not good at all. The apple fritter was thick and doughy and lacked apples. Honey or something was missing with the honeybun. Very disappointed.
Went in last week and they had nothing that we asked for. (Fritter, Bearclaw). Don’t advertise what you don’t have. Not only didn’t they have what we asked for, she didn’t even make an attempt to see if we wanted anything else or when it would be available. Terrible service. Waste of drive.

I needed a simple red velvet cake for a family members birthday celebrations and found Burney’s online. I went in person on a early Friday afternoon to place the order, the girl taking my order seem new because she didn’t seem to know what was going on when writing my order down. I was told to email my inspiration picture because the lady taking my order didn’t know how to describe it and I would say the decorations idea was simple. I emailed the picture, set pick up for Monday at noon, paid for the cake in advance, and left out. An hour goes by and I notice the email didn’t go through, so I called the store back and asked if they could verify they received my email but the lady that answered the phone said she didn’t have access to the email and the person would call me back. Well I never received a call back, until I gave them at 8am Monday morning to make sure they got the picture. On the phone call Monday morning a young lady informed me the person who controlled the email was still not in work but assured me my cake would be ready by noon. I go in at noon to pick up the cake and I was just baffled by the presentation. It was so sloppy and had icing missing from the bottom at the cake board but I had to accept the cake because I had to have it to the celebration 30 minutes later. Once I took it out the cake box you can see places were the icing was put on thick enough and could see the red velvet underneath and it was sliding off the cake board. We cut into the cake and taste like it had been frozen and smelled like cardboard. I feel like my cake was rushed and just slapped together.
Artificial, boxed, and frozen. I don’t know how this place has 4.5 stars. The staff was helpful but those sweets were horrid.
I've tried a wide assortment of desserts here. Some of them are a little too sweet, but in general I enjoy stopping here!
I arrived at 1:00 and they stopped serving coffee so I can't rate their drinks. The line wasn't long and I decided to order some muffins, an eclair, and a Raspberry lemon drop. Everything tasted alright. I might have arrived too late on a Saturday to see their full assortment of treats.
I like this place somewhat, but the best bakery is none other than SUPERIOR BAKERY IN HOPEMILLS. They have the best iced and filled crossiants and doughnuts and pastries cookies. Heck everything they have there is No. 1#. Love Superior Bakery.
Burney's delivered a million croissants for our wedding - way better than a wedding cake! Love them
Friendly staff. Donuts and glazed croissant, donuts and good cheese cake. They have other things too. Staff is very helpful.
I love going to Superior but now that I have been introduced to Burney’s, this will be our new spot (it’s closer and hits the same way). I literally had to stop myself from consuming the dozen assorted glazed and filled croissants we bought. So freaking good!!
This week was the first time I learned of this establishment. We are celebrating National Laboratory Week at the hospital and I found an eight foot table covered in boxes of pastries from Burney's. I took a few and was amazed at how fresh and delicious they were. I am not sure if they come with a next day, freshness guarantee but I took a few again this morning and it felt as if it was fresh from the bakery. Great job! I hope to visit in person soon to see the entire selection.
I got their pumpkin spice croissants today and O M G! It tastes just like a pumpkin pie. So so good. Lots of creamy filling in them.
Excellent small place for quick bite or takeout. There is also a bakery right next door. Ordered a German chocolate cake for a picnic. Take out was quick and appealing. YUM
Sometimes when I read people‘s reviews I don’t understand how they could possibly say negative things about this place. While visiting Fayetteville I stumbled upon Burney’s and being from New York I was so excited that they had awesome looking deserts. The cannolis were out of this world. I have not had a good cannoli like that since I was back home. The filled croissants are amazing as are the cookies. Now living in Florida there are no bakeries. I’m lucky that I get to visit Fayetteville often and will definitely go back to Burney’s. The girls there were so friendly. Thank you for great service and delicious deserts.
I just left there I ordered a half dozen of croissants. The girl took my money with gloves on and begin to pack my order with those same gloves on. That is so nasty and im very disappointed.
Went on a whim to see what they had. Ordered 2 basic items: cheesecake with strawberry glaze and a "croissant " stuffed with cream cheese and let me tell you 🤌🤌 chefs kiss! The croissant was soooo crispy on thr outside and not overly sweet. Cheesecake was creamy and perfectly balanced in sweetness. Not to mention the great attention they pay to their customers.
