Brought my niece and daughter while on a big family vacation to EI. Atmosphere was great and drinks were delicious!! Nice swings and rockers to sit in on the porch. The owner (I believe she is the owner) was very friendly!! Will definitely be back before we leave!!
Neat place for dog lovers, who also are coffee lovers.

I have now visited Muttigans a dozen times and I have never had a complaint. The staff is always helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming. The dog treat selection is great. Thanks for being an awesome place!

I tried the butter rum and white chocolate latte. YUM! There were also neat treats and toys for doggos with some rawhide free treats!

I absolutely adore this place and so do my dogs. They have good quality yak chews ontop of coffee for you!! So both you and your dog can get a treat! Then the workers and even the owner are so friendly!!
Brought my cocker spaniel here for his first birthday. Great selection of treats, chews, toys and other supplies. Great coffee as well. Plenty of seating. Staff also loved on my good boy :)
My grand dog is a big boxer/pit mix and most toys don't last the day. Their selection is extremely rugged. Lots of treats you won't find anywhere....I mean anywhere.
We loved this place! The one woman who works there is so kind, outgoing, and even let us try our drinks before putting ice in to make sure we loved them. I wish I remembered her name! She’s the best.

Best coffee on the island and the muffins were delicious, especially the butter rum! I loved seeing the doggies going in and out as well.
We visited Muttigan’s today and were impressed by the amazing service and delicious drinks! While we were waiting in line, someone spilled an entire iced coffee, but the barista remained calm and apologized repeatedly for the wait, and was so calm and friendly despite obviously working under pressure. Unfortunately we didn’t catch her name (she was wearing a Simpson’s shirt), but we were grateful and refreshed by her wonderful customer service and hope to visit again soon!
We were looking forward to visiting Muttigans during our trip to Emerald Isle. The coffee drinks are delicious, and the variety of dog treats and cookies is outstanding. The best thing about this store is the amazing and thoughtful owner. We had forgotten to pack our dogs' shampoo and brushes, so the owner drove over to the Swansboro store that day to pick up the specific brush we use. She was so nice and chatted with us while we were looking around the store. She was knowledgeable about the various products she carries and helped us pick out a few different items. My husband picked up the brush the next morning when he got our coffee. I always like to support local businesses, but this one is a standout for sure.

I came for the dog toys, but stayed for the coffee and table games. The pet supplies were pretty affordable compared with big name stores (and better priced than big name stores in some cases). I also ordered a coffee while there and it was pretty tasty!
I visited this local shop with my 4 friends on our vacation and this has by far been one of our favorite spots. The shop itself is so cute and filled with tons of awesome pet accessories, as well as being able to say hello to all the pups! What really made our experience so great was our barista, “Shorty.” She recommended the best coffee and made them all to our liking. She let us all taste our coffees and made sure they were to our liking, and even added more sugar/cream if we felt necessary. We all agreed she is definitely the best barista we have yet to come across, and she made all of our days. We all definitely recommend and cannot wait to come back some day!❤️🐶🐾
