Do not let the non-descript, mirror-tinted windows dissuade you from visiting. The exterior is due to the "strip mall" style location, and the windows are tinted so that readers inside are not blinded by direct sunlight. Once you step inside you find a welcoming, open place that clearly loves books and coffee. The store is arranged with a playroom for kids in the back and side, presumably to minimize the noise they may make. The rest of the store features an array of comfortable seating, tables, and literature themed art. The intention is clearly to invite patrons to stay a while. The counter is in the back. They have standard coffee shop offerings, with an ample amount of featured lattes, all named after a character or quote from a famous work. After ordering, I was asked a question I've never been asked before. "Do you like your latte sweet, or have the coffee be the feature?" I loved this. I prefer less sweet, more rich and bitter taste, and often do not try different varieties for fear of them being cloyingly sweet. The young lady (might be the owner) made me a wonderful latte that featured sweeter flavors, but still allowed the coffee to shine through. I will definitely be coming back.
Finally had a chance to stop in today. The hours (6:30AM-12:30PM) are targeted toward parents with very young children and the space is set up to support this as well - in particular, there is a very sweet, large reading and activity room for kids. The ambience is calm and whimsical. Lots of fun signature lattes, as well as drinks and items for kids. The tinted glass and subtle "open" sign in the front window make it hard to discern when this place is actually open - just persevere! Very kind staff that says there is a possibility for extended afternoon hours for school-aged kids in the future. Will definitely come back.
Absolutely love this place. Lots of seating next to outlets, great kid area, super nice staff/owner and customers, great coffee and treats. It's a great place to get some work done or meet up with a friend.

I really love this place. A fun local coffee spot that focuses on working with the community that surrounds it. I love the coffee and my kids love hanging out in the playroom
Definitely my favorite shop!! The woman I spoke with (I think she was the owner) was so sweet!! The coffee is delicious and my daughter loved the play area! Very toddler friendly and it’s tucked away in the back so I don’t have to worry about my kid escaping when I look away😂 Perfect for moms that want to be able to actually drink their coffee in peace 😅 Unfortunately, I live about 45 mins away or I would literally be there every morning!
Such an inviting and cozy place to have a coffee. I stopped in to take part in the "blind date with a book" where the owner only reveals the first line and genre of the book. Such a nice way to get people to step outside of their comfort zone AND it came with a coffee ☕️ 😌 🙌. I already planned on becoming a regular because of the great coffee but activities like this are such a nice addition.

We’ve gone several times and have loved every drink we’ve gotten! Love the literary themed signature lattes! The Green Gables has been my favorite so far! The cafe is beautiful and a great place to hang with a friend or study. This part of Clemmons has desperately needed a coffee shop! So glad Dog-Eared is here!
A great spot, especially for a family with a 2 year old! We enjoyed yummy iced coffee while our little guy played with some new friends in the dedicated play area. Such a great concept and the owner and her staff were as nice as they could be. We can’t wait to go back!
Delicious coffee and fantastic atmosphere! The Phenomenal Woman latte is amazing and the book theme is carried beautifully throughout the shop. The children’s space is inviting and set back enough to help with volume control while remaining accessible with windows to easily keep an eye on kiddos. Lauren and the staff are attentive and welcoming. Dog-Eared Coffee Company is already one of my favorite spots in the Clemmons/Lewisville area.
I ordered a Phenomenal Woman and oat milk cappuccino. Both were delicious! The owner is so sweet and I love her mission to help the community. Looking forward to coming here all the time!
What a wonderful coffee shop and amazing owner. I stop by regularly for coffee and enjoy the calm, cozy ambiance prior to heading into work. I would highly recommend grabbing a cup of delicious coffee here.
Dogeared Coffee is a charming coffee shop and is perfect for book lovers, parents, and children. Every drink I have had has been perfect, my kids absolutely love to play here, and it’s also a great atmosphere to get some work done. The owners have done so well creating a welcoming and cozy environment and are just the sweetest. We always look forward to our next visit

Absolutely my new favorite coffee shop!! The owner is absolutely the sweetest ladies and the coffee choices are very tasty! My kids absolutely loved the chocolate chip cookies! The play area for kids while moms can drink coffee is the smartest idea ever. Highly recommend!!
Such a cozy loving spot with phenomenal coffee & even better service. The owner is so sweet & the story behind the coffee shop is so inspiring! Not to mention the prices are totally reasonable, which is hard to find these days for a cup of coffee. The best part? Well, it’s kid friendly complete with a playroom for the kiddos while you take a moment to yourself while keeping an eye on your little one through the perfectly placed windows. As a new mom, this is a game changer. I’ll be back regularly.

This is the cozy coffee shop I’ve been awaiting since college. Lots of light. Comfy couches and chairs. High tables low tables and a kid area. Like. Come here for the atmosphere. Stay for the genuine warmth of the people inside. No snobbery here. No walking in as a new person and wondering if you belong. Here’s what’s up: you do.
