Service was friendly and fast. I had an issue with my coffee they fixed it without issue. I felt it was way overpriced $$$. I have never paid that much for two coffees and average tasting pastries. 🤷🏼♀️
Coffee and atmosphere were great! The pastries were good but there was no way to warm them up and they had been sitting in a display case for some time. Not a make or break though, will definitely return!
Wonderful place with really good drink choices. Always have something new and different. Very comfortable seating and great hangout.
Two disappointing visits within a couple of weeks. Yesterday I stopped in with my Mom to treat her to a coffee and treat on her birthday. The young lady took our order fairly quickly, but it wasn't apparent immediately that there were at least 4-5 orders ahead of us. After waiting 20 minutes to receive our complete order (2 drinks & 2 scones), I took a bite of what was the worst scone I have ever had in my life. It was dry and stale and should not have been sold to me. My breve was mediocre at best. Another notable mention is the fact that the Manager or Owner was in the shop meeting with some other gentlemen. It was quite clear that this young lady was overwhelmed and VERY slow and he did not offer to help her fulfill the orders to ensure everyone was served in a reasonable amount of time. 20 minutes is too long to wait for good coffee and food let alone poor-quality ones. There are many other great coffee shops in the area, so I won't be returning here.
Nice quite and beautiful, great place to come relax, pray, study, or have a nice morning sipping coffee and eating pastry
Excellent coffee & friendly customer service. Loved the inviting & welcoming decor & atmosphere♥️
Me and my family went to the china grove location on a Monday afternoon. Looking for a nice quiet spot to enjoy some family time together and a good iced latte. We have frequently stopped by here in the past but stopped as the service was never friendly and yesterday we thought after a year we would try it again. Sadly it hasn’t changed. When we got there the man at the register was very kind and so was the young girl making our drinks. But out of no where another woman steps behind the counter (I assume a manger to help with training) and is just beyond rude and belittling to the employee that took our order that was helping the barista make drinks. So much so that it made me very uncomfortable to even watch. She was so rude and disrespectful I couldn’t believe that anyone would let an employee talk like that to anyone especially with a customer standing right there.I was a manger at a coffee shop for over 3 years and never would I have allowed a situation like that to happen. Totally unprofessional. We spent over $20 for this experience and yes the coffee was great but this whole encounter made me feel so uncomfortable and regretted ever coming back to give this place another chance. We didn’t even stay to drink our coffee and left promptly . You can have a cute and relaxing decorated atmosphere for a coffee shop but if your employees aren’t friendly and kind then what’s the point? It doesn’t make it that people will want to stay or even come back if the customer service is terrible. I’m sorry but I can go to Starbucks or French express for a better experience where employees are friendly and kind. Will definitely not be coming back after that experience. Please do better with your customer service.
We recently just found this location and the last couple times the coffee was amazing, but today I was upset on how the drinks came. I ordered two caramel latte one with regular milk and one with almond milk. The lady taking the order was nice but once the order came out. It had no coffee at all. It tasted like straight up milk with caramel drizzle. We spent money on just a cup of milk with caramel drizzle and cinnamon added. Very dissatisfied:
Beautiful place and amazing staff with delicious options
This place is great! Not only do they have a full menu of options, everyone is so very kind and helpful. The overall atmosphere is amazing.
Nice vibe. Service and drink was mediocre but that’s ok, it was a nice place to meet a friend.
VERY racist vibes. I sat here for a bit and noticed how they interacted with different customers and it was shocking.
A lot of people wearing confederate flags… suspicious
Loved the place. The atmosphere was great.
I have frequently come to this shop for the last 60 days and I was very disappointed in the lady’s demeanor. I gave it several chances but today was the last straw, she is rude and has racist tendency. Never again! I should have listened to others who said she was a racist but I try wanted to encounter it myself because people share different experiences. Pathetic!
Used to go here faithfully, but ever since they opened their second location, the service has dropped. Cashiers are forgetful, communicate with an attitude, always have something out of stock, one location takes call in orders over the phone but one location doesn’t, I have literally stood in line while watching other employees/owners talking and not prioritizing customer needs. It’s sad to see such a cute little place fall off because of success. However, I will gladly take my hard earned money to French Express up the road.
There coffee and snacks is amazing and so good and cheap you should definitely go there
Visited this shop for the first time. Great Chai Tea. Nice atmosphere to kick back and relax
I'm not much a religious person, but I must say, The Holy Grind is DIVINE! Their staff is very kind and welcoming, happy and patient to answer any questions I had. Their selection of drinks is not only diverse, but rather affordable at that. Even having a couple specialty house drinks as well! Can't recommend the Water to Wine enough! And just being off the main street here, makes it very accessible and easy to find! They've been here for about 5 years and it's not hard to figure out why, as the store has quite the cozy atmosphere, with plenty of seating and soft lighting. A perfect place to bring friends and talk over some delicious coffee! For the introverts of us (like myself), it's got plenty of books available to read, plenty of tables to take a sketchpad to and write or draw. As well as lots of outlets for chargers, for those who need to recharge their laptops and phones as much as their mental and spiritual batteries. I'd have taken pictures of my order, but I admittedly scarfed down my Red Velvet Muffin before I thought about writing a review. So you'll just have to take my word for it that their baked goods are not only beautiful, but delicious. It's very clear from the get go, that their faith in their customer service and craft is as strong as their faith in the lord. And I certainly will be making a return here!
My mother in law and I visited this coffee shop today and we absolutely loved it! The atmosphere, service and coffee was AMAZING! We loved all the scripture decor, farmhouse decor and the cozy feel! We highly recommend The Holy Grind and would absolutely go back!
