Great flat whites, well-priced, friendly baristas, calm atmosphere. If I could walk here from my house, I’d be here every day.

Pound cake was too dense, Hot chocolate was like mixed powder in warm water. ☹️

Honey lavender oat milk iced coffee was amazing—they were able to accommodate decaf as well.

Hands down the best coffee in Asheville. You can always guarantee everything to be dialed in well. Incredible atmosphere, a cozy dark academia vibe, cool music, stellar attention to detail, kind staff and in a really convenient part of town. This is always my #1 spot to go to when in Asheville.

One of the most relaxing places in the city, and it should be your first cup of coffee when you arrive. In fact, I’d go as far to say that if you’re only going to have the opportunity to drink coffee once in Asheville, come here. It’s conveniently located between 2 very reasonably priced parking lots so there’s usually always space to settle in. We found it to be the perfect starting and ending location when we wanted to explore downtown due to the convenience of being near the rest of the shops. The coffee itself is a must have - from presentation, to flavor, to executing at the perfect sipping temperature. The atmosphere is very inviting and the staff was extremely kind and attentive. For me, Rowan embodies all my favorite things about Asheville - a humble business with artistic expression that not only exceeds expectations, but does it with class.

I’m not from Asheville but I love finding a coffee shop that KNOWS how to do coffee and this is the place! :) Beautifully macabre interior and very nice/kind baristas with style. The focaccia is salivating as well!!

Lovely, intimate downtown Coffeeshop. Parking (as per all of downtown) is on the street or a nearby lot. Beautiful interior, with lush décor & smooth-stained wood. Amazing local pastry-selection, & top-notch beverages (these baristas do it right). Find a seat fast (it’s usually busy), or get it to-go.

Excellent and friendly staff. Lattes like you would find in Europe or Australia. Good quality, would return.

Super quaint academia styled coffee house with delicious espresso and a unique coffee vibe. A perfect place for the more ‘pretentious’ types of coffee lovers who feel no coffee shop is as good as their excessive 15 step espresso puck prep process in their own home. I highly recommend this place for their delicious specialty espresso and pastries. A little bit out of the way from the center of downtown, but definitely worth the trek to check out and enjoy their coffee, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Very overpriced pastries. They don’t have price labels but they are $6 each— unable to find anywhere else.

First stop in Asheville after a 4 hour drive here. So well worth it. Quality craft and quality espresso. Quiet place. Good seating. Dark though.

Not sure how this is the “most instagramable” coffee shop. It’s so dark in there. The coffee shop feels the size of a pocket door. Upon entry we were “greeted” by someone that just kind of stared at us. No hey how are you. What can I get you. Nothing. Definitely off putting. Let’s be a little more friendlier. You can’t select sizes which I find odd but whatever. The cold brew was so bad. I literally went out in the parking lot and put it in the cup holder of my car and it stayed there to get watered down and then thrown away. To each their own as everyone has different taste buds and such. But friendliness is universal. Would have given more stars if service was better, even with the bad tasting coffee.

Coffee is excellent but forget about the food. They no longer serve waffles. Quiche looked inedible. Pastries not much better.

Literally the best dirty chai I’ve ever had. Super cute space too!
