Local hang out, felt welcome, enjoyed coffee and pastry. Fell in love with a patron but she got away.
Unstable and slow Wi-Fi. If you’re working remotely I suggest you take your money elsewhere.
I got a Yerba Maté tea and it was delish. Had a nice chat with the Barista and the vibe was chill with an eclectic mix of people
My muffin was gross. Couldn't eat it. The coffee was almost too bad to drink. My boyfriend's muffin and coffee were just as bad. For $18 was totally not worth it. West End Bakery, which is phenomenal, wasn't open today so we went here. Regret, regret, regret. Bojangles is better. 🤬
Such a wonderful spot. Great coffee selection. Super awesome staff.
I don't think I've been here since the beginning of the pandemic. The indoor seating has changed a bit. The quiche is still delicious. And sipping my cortado on the Sunny deck in the back on an early warm spring morning is still one of my favorite things.
Excellent coffee shop with amazing baked goods.
Great place, good drinks, good prices, fast wifi, and really friendly employees! Love the vibe here.
I used to love going to Odd’s Cafe, and would recommend it to my friends all the time, but the last 3 times I’ve been, the espresso had a burnt taste and I had to throw out my drinks because they were undrinkable. The environment there used to be bright and friendly, but there’s now a pretentious air about the place and I don’t feel welcomed when I come in. The gluten free treats are pretty good, so it’s worth it to stop in for a to go snack, just stay away from the coffee and espresso, and choose tea or a smoothie.
Reviews made this place seem nice and warm. I got the total opposite experience when I entered. The girl at the counter had a full blown conversation with a customer. Normally I think that's fine. I didn't mind at all actually, except for the fact that she had an entire attitude change when I got up to the counter. She was super short and annoyed taking my order. Didn't ask for my name or anything. When my drinks were ready they weren't called out. The bagel I had ordered was hard as a rock. Not a joke. My girlfriend couldn't even bite into it. I tried as well. I almost chipped a tooth. Whoever is running this place should definitely do some quality checks. With so many other options available anyone would be wise to go elsewhere.
I have tremendous affection for this place; a busy little local hub (I almost always see at least one WAVL person I know). Their chai cider is my favourite and their cakes are very good too.
The gingerbread cookie was old and I didn't finish it. My other friends were not unhappy with their desserts. The coffee was prepared by a young man, as I asked and liked. The female taking our orders and getting the desserts was less than friendly. She really didn't care we were there. Asking her a question about any coffee or item seemed very laborious for her. I didn't say anything to anyone, but when my friends made it to the table, they were like, 'What's up with her?' I said, 'maybe just a bad day.' That said, I would return and stick to the brownies or cakes if I want a dessert. Great atmosphere to chill. Dogs are welcome, so that's cool.
Latte was good. I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese to go and when I got to my location to eat it, it was a ROCK. I literally couldn't even bite into it - way overtoasted, with the black just scraped off so it didn't look so bad. They should have thrown that away and done a second one instead. Customer service while there was friendly enough, but handing out inedible food in a to-go order is very poor customer service.
Coffee and espresso drinks are well done and reasonably priced. However I ordered a slice of cake to go, and they gave me such a small piece and charged $6 for it. It was pretty good but def not worth $6. I’ll just stick to the coffee next time.
Really wanted to love this place- it’s a great atmosphere but the service has consistently gone downhill. I used to come in frequently but more often than not the barista is rude or impatient. If you ask questions, they seem annoyed and seemingly go out of their way to not deliver your order properly. Over the past couple months, it has gotten to a whole new level. We won’t be coming back, and I have heard similar from other locals. Lots of other coffee shops in West Asheville that are friendly, and want your business!
Super cute coffee place! Loved the atmosphere!
Good local West Asheville vibes. Great coffee, tea and nibbles. More than enough options in all categories to satisfy the needs for many.
Pumpkin Chai latte was great! Muffin was $4....a little pricey. Come early for scones--we missed out.
Met new clients in the cafe this morning. Lots of tables, seating, space to meet people or just get some work done. Very west Asheville like- eclectic, hipp, funky.
Super cute coffee shop. The coffee was great and I also got a cute blueberry muffin that looked sourced locally. Friendly staff and great seating. Seems to be busy even during the week so definitely go during off hours.
