Such a fun, cute coffee spot in west Asheville! Plenty of seating indoor and outdoors, friendly staff, yummy bites, and fresh coffee. Ordered the lavender mint latte and it was to die for! Would definitely recommend.
This is a great place but because they up-charge for animal-free milks, making compassionate choices is more expensive.
Rose cardamum latte was delicious - line moved fast - friendly workers
The best coffee shop ever! The staff is awesome! The coffee and the mimosas are perfect!
A small, friendly, kind of dingy place to get a Good cup of Joe. The best part about Izzy's is the outdoor seating. Lots of room to spread out in both the sun and shade while you sip your Joe and watch the diverse parade of Haywood regulars pass by.
A coffee and some pastry. Calm and relaxed people reading and computing. Recommended
Relaxing environment not to hippie
Cozy and adorable...great coffee!
Great coffee house! Coffee drinks are very high quality, staff are polite and attentive and atmosphere is inviting. Very good selection of cookies and bagels.
Coffee is good here, but bakery items are limited. The atmosphere is nice, though often crowded. Good place to read a book on days when there aren't too many other people.
Me and a friend were visiting from out of town and we noticed Anisa trying to fix her decaf grinder so that she could serve high quality coffee to customers. I was impressed by her integrity and the drink was great too!
I enjoy coming here to get a bit of work done and enjoy an iced coffee. I would agree with some of the other reviewers about the staff not always being the friendliest - one was quite rude to another customer while I was in line, but that's just an outsider's perspective. As with most local coffee shops, it's pretty expensive for what you get, but the quality of the coffee is generally pretty good.
In a city full of coffeeshops, Izzy's is a coffee house. I've been here three times, and each time the place is full of people settling down to read, work, or study. The atmosphere is cozy and more contemplative than the other bustling coffee retailers in the greater Asheville area. The coffee is lovely, with a creative and thoughtful menu and high quality ingredients. The baked goods rotate, with both sweet and savory options available. But the reason I find myself returning to this spot is the upstairs rooms tucked away where I can work in peace at a table or in a recliner. It has that "third space" feel that so many coffee establishments strive for, but this one actually accomplishes it.
Cute coffee shop, open on Mondays and a chill place to hang and chat. Delicious brevet cappuccino! I always enjoy their rotating art gallery on the walls.
Great place for delicious coffee, cool vibes, and a great place to relax or get things done.
Excellent customer service from Anisa. She was holding it down all on her own and still had prompt service. She was able to answer all of my questions and was so accomodating. Everything was made with quality and tasted wonderful. Great atmosphere due to Anissa!! I gave her a tip, but they should give her a raise!
I honestly was impressed. Two 16 oz coffees and two bagels with cream cheese came out to 15 bucks after tip. The staff was friendly, the service great. And the coffee was good. Over a great experience. It was a little on the slow side. I wouldn’t stop there if you’re in a rush.
Know when you made a drink poorly, learn from it and dont blame the customer .
We are asheville locals born and raise and we try to avoid this location because of the barista Anissa. Whenever we come in several times she makes it a point to avoid serving us if she can help it or if there is a line she makes everyone’s drink first that was behind us. We love this business and want to keep supporting the locals but we honestly don’t know what we’ve done to make her single us out. I see on here that we’re not the only ones who have been through this. Love the coffee and business but will stick to the downtown location.
All of Asheville could disappear leaving just Izzy’s and the west village market and I would be happy. (Thanks in particular to Tina and Anisa for always making it fun!)
