Easy parking for quick in and out cup of joe. Try the homemade brown butter latte, you won’t be disappointed.
They have cool little chairs and tables where you can sit cross legged, plus plenty of outlets! I had a drip coffee and a Hippie Tea (a Spring seasonal hibiscus tea) and both were great! Wifi is free for the first six hours, which is about as much time I spent there working on schoolwork. Lots of succulents as well, and cozy atmosphere + chill and friendly staff !
Nice little coffee shop with friendly staff
A local favourite; they have the best Cubano coffee in town.
Super fruit tasty espresso (I got the light roasted featured one). It does not taste burnt at all. Very good!
Great little coffee shop. Cortado was good. Quiet atmosphere perfect for getting work done or reading a book. Nice outdoor seating area and plenty of parking nearby.
I was shocked to see an empty jar next to the register with a note taped to it reading "tips pay the bills". Am I to believe that HiFive pays their employees so poorly that they depend on TIPS to pay their bills?! I am under the impression that WAGES are supposed to pay the bills! As a customer I find it deeply offensive to be pressured into paying some vaguely defined "tip" so that my barista can afford their basic necessities. Maybe that's why the employees here are always scowling. DO BETTER. Coffee is great tho.
Ive been here a few times. Every time the service has been very good. The atmosphere has a good vibe and the coffee is excellent.
High Five has a cozy, vibrant atmosphere with understated music a lots of patrons socializing and working in the creative seating spaces. The staff were friendly and prompt, making good recommendations for my first visit. The espresso was rich without being over roasted and the muffin walked the perfect line between rich and sweet. I’ll be returning to High Five again for the sunny nook and the great coffee.
Matcha latte was pretty good, just a little too sweet for me. Lovely space for reading or doing work :)
I've had some good espresso here, but I've also had a few mediocre shots. I would give 4 stars if they cared when I said that a shot was not consistent with previous quality, but the barista simply shrugged. It's too bad, this would be one of the top 3 coffee places in Asheville otherwise. They serve rise against bagels, which are amazing.
Such a fun, eclectic, sunny spot to study or enjoy a break between work. Lots of spots to choose from with outlets for computer or phone chargers. They have plenty of smoothie, tea, and coffees to choose from. They also offer bagels, muffins, and sandwiches. It was very yummy and staff was friendly. They offer the cutest merch as well. Highly recommend!! I ordered the “storm” coffee with a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin. Both were to die for!
Customers are unwelcome to spend $$$ at this hub of low energy minimalism. Please enjoy the miniature menu and soy worship.
Delicious mocha and great cafe experience! Staff was nice!
The best lox and bagel we have ever had. Had the latte , cappuccino and a mocha to go - all absolutely excellent. Great little place
We were looking for breakfast, and at 10:00 they were out of most things. Looks like a great place to meet a friend for coffee.
visited asheville for the second time and finally decided to try a local coffee shop. high five coffee was our first choice and we don’t regret it! friendly baristas, quick service, and FANTASTIC coffee. 10/10, would rate higher if i could
Fantastic coffee!!! We got a hot caramel latte and an iced vanilla bean latte. Both were delightful! Very friendly service, wonderful atmosphere inside the coffee shop. Would most definitely revisit another time!
Visited a few times during a long weekend in Asheville. Service was always very friendly, and we enjoyed the drinks, especially the Weather Report and the Punky Spice. Food was also good - basic pastries, but they also offer a surprisingly great biscuit sandwich!
I really love high five coffee. I work downtown and live downtown so its a convenient location.. when its slow! I've been going to the Rankin location since they opened and it killlllllls me that you can't call-in orders. Everytime I walk in and there's a line 8 people deep, I immediately turn around and leave. There's only one register and usually only two batistas on staff. I have time crunches and just want a quick beverage and a delicious egg and cheese biscuit (typically out of stock which is also a huge bummer) before work but that's impossible when the line is out the door. The line situation is the reason I'm leaving only 4 stars. They should have a second register with a line specifically for togos. Make it convenient for your locals who already know what they want and need to go to work! I know that's a big ask for such a small location but it would be awesome to have a quicker way in and out.
