Coffee was good and atmosphere was decent. Employees seemed annoyed we were there and had little to no warmth. The sticky bun was basically a frisbee with how hard it was. Definitely could use some improvements.
Best Apple Fritter anywhere; it’s like a freestanding apple/bread pudding.
Really enjoyed what we got here. Good veggie options
We had the best rye bread from City Bakery and the staff was very friendly. Thank you!!
The BEST cheddar chive biscuits. Buy enough for your daily breakfast for the week. I cut in half and reheat in microwave for 30 seconds then layer with a thin slice of Boars Head cheddar cheese, 3 slices of crispy bacon (or your fave breakfast meat), 1 scrambled egg, amd another thin slice of Boars Head cheddar and serve with fresh fruit! You'll thank me later 😊
I love this place and it is within walking distance from my office so I eat here often. The food is great, selection of coffee and sweets are terrific and the staff is really friendly. My only ding is the kitchen is really slow, even when it's not busy. Take tour time and enjoy.
Delicious food and great service!
The biscuits are my favorite in town. They’re perfect for breakfast sammies!
This place used to be better. I've lived across the street for years. I'll write an abbreviated novel as to why I strongly dislike this place: I ❤️ small businesses and breakfast! I would LOVE to live across the street from a good breakfast spot. The food at City Bakery is consistently not fresh but expensive. The baked goods are ok but loaded with sugar and expensive. The matcha is very diluted. Is that even matcha? I honestly couldn't tell. I've made the mistake of trying it maybe 5+ times. CB has messed up my order/not refunded me multiple times over the years. I think I still have a credit for a free sandwich and coffee from them that I'm not going to redeem. Can't blame the staff, but this place kinda blows. I don't understand why they're so popular
Went in for a quick lunch and had a Reuben sandwich. Bread had a fair rye flavor and good texture, but there was little kraut, the pastrami had little flavor, and the Russian dressing was non-existent. In short, while it wasn't a bad sandwich, it also wasn't a Reuben.
Warm feeling as you enter this quaint storefront. This place is pretty cool but a little over priced. Smells really good outside and in fresh bread baking. I had the Shot in the Dark which is a coffee with a shot of espresso. That was really good. Thanks for the breakfast
Nice place. Good coffee and food. Not a lot of seating so get there early.
The pop tart was so good. Highly recommend the grill cheese with bacon. We enjoyed our food but the service was very slow. Be prepared to wait. The wait time for a cup of coffee was 30 minutes.
Very pleased to find this place for lunch. Excellent sandwich environment was warm and inviting, will definitely return.
Great spot for breakfast. The bread is fantastic.
We had breakfast from here two mornings before our activities for the day. Four different sandwiches and cinnamon rolls were all at an "awesome" level. Price was reasonable as well. And they have a parking lot to make pickup possible. Not something you always find in a city environment.
We purchased what should have been a very simple to go order 1 bearclaw and a croissant with large cappuccino & pumpkin latte. We're on the road and my wife opened my cappuccino only to find it's mostly foam. Check your coffee! Very disappointed
Food is great! However expect a wait. Waited more than 20 minutes for 1 sandwich with no line and about 4 tables actually full.
Great sandwich, awesome pastry, fabulous service, dreadful espresso.
Helpful service. Very good coffee. Good breakfast joint.
