My favorite Upper West Side coffee shop when visiting my daughter in NYC!
One of the best stops for specialty coffee in the neighbourhood! Always receive a high quality product and so pleased they have all their indoor seating back up post-pandemic
Top notch coffee shop. They make a perfect cappuccino. They sell their very own roasted beans as well!
Almond latte was very smooth and very good! One of the top ten I've ever had.
Good cup of coffee. Friendly service. A unique atmosphere with the theater spotlight lighting. The prices for coffee include tax. Outdoor seating is a plus. What is not to love.
Nice place to grab a quick cup of coffee or study if there’s space! It’s pretty small in there fair warning, also no bathroom
By far the best coffee in the area. Maybe the best coffee in New York! Also, don't know what the other reviewers are talking about... the servers are always polite and fast.
The staff were welcoming and pleasant. The space itself is pretty small with three tables that seat two each as well as three seats by the window. The place gets pretty busy with a lot of people coming in to get drinks to go. As for the drinks, I got a cortado that was decent, but was also not something to write home about.
The pastries needed abit more cream cheese inside, not enough cream cheese.
Espresso tastes burnt and pastries are stale
Delicious cappuccino, fresh and wonderful pastries, and wonderfully cheerful staff. How better to start one’s morning!
Plowshares on Broadway has great pastries and the coffee is good. However, the servers are awful. They are rude and dismissive. I have tried to put it aside and just get my coffee but it is really ridiculous. It's upsetting to see rude and angry servers first thing in the morning. I left without my coffee. Not going back!
I’ve tried em all and this is the one. Best coffee on the upper west side. Wonderful baristas. Great place to come for morning coffee. Hope to see you here soon!
Good coffee. Mediocre customer service. Have been there a few times.
Excellent coffee. My oat flat white was so good I went back for a second one 20 mins later. Malcom is a very talented barista. I love that they use Oatly (the best oat milk out there).
The coffee is great! Pie & Pasty are awesome!
Simple moca coffee was amazing. Had a great time after the lunch. Also, the male barista(seems like owner) gently but strongly asked the man who drinks alcohol on the seat outside. I felt safe.
Good coffee but one of the staff members needs to be trained in decency, I walked in with my small support dog and they just told me with a rude tone and bad attitude that dogs are not allowed. I replied by letting them know that he is a support dog. I think instead of being rude from the get go, they should have asked me if it's a support dog. There are plenty of good cafes in the neighborhood, so to make a difference, decent human behavior is still important, I hope!
Coffee and pastry selection are good. However staff are generally unpleasant and sometimes overtly rude. After years of giving this place a “second chance” I’m officially taking my business to the myriad of other good coffee shops in the area.
Good coffee but they are WEIRD about dogs. It’s totally acceptable to not allow dogs in, but to not have any signage and then be rude to people as if they’re idiots for bringing their dog in for 30 seconds to grab a to go drink is not cool. Especially in the sweltering heat. I heard them mocking and making fun of people for rightfully so being confused about the rule and even mocking someone who asked for water for their dog. Zelma’s and Peaky Blinders have always been ok with dogs coming in for a quick to go order. And Again, it’s not that it’s unacceptable for them to not allow dogs in but to treat people rudely and mock them IS unacceptable. Also pretty dumb - they’re just turning away quick easy money lol
