I have never had a bad meal here, one of the best breakfast spots in town!
Very expensive when I could have made better food at home. The restaurant environment was unpleasant. I won't be eating here again when there are a million better places to go.
Great little cafe love the weird little stores in the hall. Had breakfast here, the latte ☕ was very good and the Morning Glory sandwich was delicious very generous amount of bacon 🥓. The GF had the french toast she claims it was God tier. A very lovely place will be back.
Staff wouldn't believe me when I told them their water tasted like mold. Water filter definitely needs a change. The special I got was pretty tiny for $14 but I might just be basing my prices on those of a couple years ago.
A few months ago I stumbled across this place while shopping and if I hadn’t had a meal just before I would have stopped. I got the chance to come back a week later and since then my brother and I have made it a ritual to come by monthly because it is so good. We live out of town so it is very much worth our commute. The staff is all so friendly and the menu is always full of delicious specials, breakfast, and lunch items. The hardest part is picking what you want to eat since everything is DELICIOUS. I am such a huge fan of this place and it is such a gem to be here in Ithaca. They also have an incredible fish tank along their booth seating that adds to the ambiance. Very happy to have found this place. I have only stopped by for breakfast so far, I’d love to try their lunch menu as it also sounds delectable. Thank you, Cafe Dewitt!!!
Brought my brother in for breakfast. Menu and specials selection made me regret having only the one stomach. Regardless, the biscuits and gravy had all the satisfaction of eating two meals at once, but none of the psychic damage. Feel like if I took a nap right now, I'd awake from a mothlike metamorphosis as something better and more beautiful. 10/10 Also, my brother said his sandwich was good.
Tried this place out for breakfast with my little sister from BBBS. We like to try places we have never been. The wait for two wasn’t long to be seated. There was a steady flow of people waiting to get tables. Once seated we were handed menus and waited for a bit to get a server. We ordered drinks (OJ /tea($3.60/$3.00) and I had to ask for water which others had. So the menu didn't have a-lot of items together. We ordered the french toast ($15.60) added side egg($3.60)and sausage($6),biscuits and gravy($14.60)which included the egg(but it wasn’t two biscuits as I was told initially by waiter) and cherry danish ($6)to go. Placed our order about 10 mins after being seated. Waited about 20-25 for actual food. Once we had the food no one came to check back if everything was ok and did we need togo containers. I stopped an employee to ask about a container and how or where do we pay? It was a bit confusing whether a bill will come to table or do we pay at counter. Again we were new and hadn't dined there before today. I am glad the space was filled in with the restaurant to support the Dewitt mall, but $64.00 for breakfast including tax and tips, is a lot. It would have been a little better if at least one side was included with the French toast for the cost. Also the food for me was ok.
This is a beautiful breakfast and lunch spot. Greeted and seated quickly and courteously, the food is always delicious! I haven't had a dish I didn't like. Fun to take some friends or go solo. All staff are very friendly, fun to watch the kitchen hard at work too.
Best breakfast in Ithaca!
the deluxe fried egg sandwich is to die for! Great endless supply of coffee, and the staff is so sweet also
The Fried Egg Sammie with smoked ham was the BEST most amazingly delicious breakfast sandwich I have ever had. Was it the sourdough toast just perfectly crispy? The flavorful ham combined with the egg? Or the combination of both pulled together with delicate chive Mayo? Whatever this magic was it is making me salivate just thinking about it. The Brunch French toast was a Homemade cinnamon bread topped with an orange infused ricotta cream and sliced almonds. Please visit - such a great little place- creative and fresh food - doctor sly staff! The cafe is located inside a mall. The entrance is located to the left of a place called Moosewood- enter the doors and walk down the stairs to breakfast paradise - you will not be sorry! Xoxoxo
Simple but delicious (made with care) breakfast, fast service. We liked it a lot.
Best brunch in Ithaca!
Perfect place Excellent menu Wonderful staff Local sources for all its ingredients. The quality of all dishes is excellent
Pretty bad experience. Service was horrible and slow. They got our orders wrong too (burnt the bacon and got our egg orders wrong and it's just making egg which is usually easy) we are a table of 6 and 50% was just made wrong. FYI Majority of the photos here on Google are actually outdated. DONT come if you are basing it off the photos alone. Giving 2 stars bec the potatoes were good but thats it.
The food: great. The folks: best. put it on the gram, fam
Would rate this place 0 stars if I could. Quite literally the worst breakfast place I’ve ever been to, mostly because of the horrendous service. Took over 40 minutes for our food to come out and not once did anyone ask if we wanted more coffee or beverages or come to check on us during that time. Food comes out and mediocre and underwhelming. Server asked if we wanted more coffee or hot sauce. Said yes to both and were there another 20 minutes at least and he never came back. Tried to get another server’s attention for coffee and were completely ignored. Only 12 or so tables and a fairly small menu so no excuse for the atrocious service.
They are under new ownership. And are closed down.
Amazing food, some unique breakfast options. Owner was super nice.
I had a delicious breakfast sandwich. The atmosphere is inviting and casual, the crew friendly and helpful.
