Great coffee , place it self is a bit beat up. Could use some renovations , there are many people that come from other places , make the place look good to outsiders :))

What an absolute gem of a coffee shop! Great tasting coffees, plenty of seating options, and amazing treats/baked goods on offer. They have plenty of alternative milks, syrups, and vegan/gluten free baked goods available. Haven’t had a bad coffee from them once. Extremely pleased so far (and have been multiple times) & excited to bring friends/family on their trips to visit!

Great coffee and staff. My son lives nearby so a stop at the Black Cow has become a ritual.

Nice place to hang out. Big space with plenty of cozy spots to sit and relax or chat with a friend. Interesting decor and local artwork. I usually have tea and a treat but there's the usual coffee options. Service is always friendly. Worth a stop if you're in the area!

One of the few times I can say I have a favorite coffee shop. Exceptional drinks, service, and atmosphere. If you’re driving through croton, this is definitely a stop to make.

This is THE coffee shop I talk about non-stop to people. It’s the perfect mix of shop and community gathering place that just brings an overall awesome vibe. Friendly staff serving awesome drinks. No matter your preferences they can accommodate and their standard menu is amazing whether you want something hot or cold. Looking for something hot? Check the “Black Cow” an espresso/hot chocolate combo you’ll crave. Wanna cool down? Get a “Cow Whip” and cool down.

Quaint little coffee shop with great coffee, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere. They even roast the coffee beans right in the store for you to watch. Highly recommend!

This place USED TO be really good. I don't know what happened, maybe it was an overhaul of employees. Whatever the case, no one working there seems to know how to make a latte. I'm basing this on multiple visits, each time having a different, poor result. I always order lattes, which are about $6 for a large. They almost always foam the milk too much, so by the time I get home and the milk has settled, I have less than half a cup of latte in my large cup without having taken a single sip. (Image provided of completely untouched latte. I have not drank or removed any amount from the cup before taking the picture.) Aside from completely and consistently ripping people off with overly foamed milk, sometimes the espresso tastes burnt. Their coffee beans are wonderful, which are roasted there. I've tried many different variations, but somewhere along the process of turning ground coffee into espresso they lose the plot. The employees need to be taught how to properly make a latte, from start to finish. I don't really care if they've worked at Starbucks for a year or if they THINK they are doing a good job. They're not. They're making the place lose business, especially when another coffee shop opened in the area that has baristas whipping up much tastier and well-made lattes.

a local gem. you can simply taste the quality and love in anything you order. i genuinely appreciate the ethos and heart behind this shop, and it's far better than what you'll get at any chain shop.
