Good beer with great service and space. The food can be a little hit or miss, but its generally solid. The specials standout more than the regular menu. Of all of the beer tree locations, this is the best and I come here semi regularly. The coffee is also better than the local average.
Really great place, the food is pretty great. One of the best spots in Binghamton.

I stopped there on a business trip, I really like the decoration of the brewery, didn't have a chance to try the food, but it looks really nice and tasty. Beer is really good! I love the NEIPAS and a sour infusion with rasberry and lime, the people there is young, definitely a college town, Grace (hostess - sorry if not spelling your name correctly) were really nice since the beginning to the end, even help me with my order to go!, continue with that service guys, I recommend 100% to visit this place 👌
Downtown by Beer Tree is Beer Tree Brewery's third brick and mortar establishment in, unironically, downtown Binghamton. This restaurant focuses a little more on lunch sandwiches and burgers. With three establishments within a fairly close proximity, I really enjoy the fact that each of Beer Tree's restaurants have their own menu. It really opens up the options depending on what you are feeling to eat on any particular day. We walked in to grab an early dinner on a weekend around 5pm. The establishment was relatively busy, but we were able to be seated immediately. On this visit we ordered the Giant pretzel with beer cheese as an appetizer, Grilled Chicken Pesto Sandwich with fries, and a house special BBQ and fried onion burger with Dr Pepper inspired BBQ sauce, also with fries. The wait between ordering and each phase of getting our drinks, appetizer, and entrees was relatively short considering the busyness of the restaurant at the time, and the staff were very helpful, came to check on us often, and were friendly while doing so! The Giant pretzel with beer cheese was served very hot and fresh, and the Beer Tree beer cheese NEVER disappoints at being absolutely fantastic. The Chicken Pesto Sandwich was great, and the BBQ burger was incredibly tasty with the Dr Pepper undertones in the BBQ sauce giving the burger a very unique taste. As I would expect from a Beer Tree establishment, A+ food! Overall, I would absolutely recommend Downtown by Beer Tree, especially if you are a fan of either of their other restaurants. You are going to pay a bit more here, but the food is for sure worth the extra hit to your wallet.

Awesome restaurant, great location. But I can't help but notice there are NO changing tables, they have a kids menu so the expectation is kids will eat here, but no where to change them. My only complaint, but it's not a minor one. I'm editing my review, thank you for listening, it means so much when a company, especially a local company, listens to longtime customers.
Listen when I say that Shosh made my day. I’ll preface this review by saying I work sales, so I’m on the road and constantly talking to baristas and bartenders - but this place blew me away so much that I had to stay up late and write this. Came in 5 min to close and tried a flight without knowing it was shutting down. No biggie- except that EVERY beer was spectacular. Not to mention the prices were perfect. Before I left I heard that the coffee was best in town. Came in when they opened at 8am and was welcome by a warm smile and a kind person. Shosh was going thru her cycle of making sure the grinds, the temp, the pour, the consistency, and the entire process was perfect. Not only was she making sure to provide the best customer service, she remained professional and courteous while making sure the only sip of espresso was something the company would be proud to serve. I am thrilled that you found someone who cares as much as she does about people, the work, the coffee, the company, and the environment. She even made sure to expedite the food because she heard me on the phone saying I was coming for a sales visit shortly after. The breakfast sandwich was outstanding and filling and flavorful! The custom made pistachio lavender Oatmilk latte left me wired and thankful - and I’m blessed to say that I have a memory of a stranger who took the extra care to go out of her way on a random Wednesday morning to make it special. When I’m back in Bing you already know who will get my hard earned money! Clean establishment. Well-stocked. Great sours. Great people and incredible baristas - twenty out of ten and fifteen thousand gold stars! Sorry for the rant and please continue to do what you do!!!
Valentines Day dinner was superb. Delicious, outstanding & brilliant! ❤️
Friday lunch.....specials listed roasted Brussel Sprouts.....nope, "not available " chose flight of crostini with goat cheese, tomatoes, prosciutto...bread was inedible way too hard.....lemon lavender cocktail was sweet for my taste..but clean bright spot in downtown probablygood if your a craft beer drinker....bit too pretentious for me
Nice selection of beer, reasonably priced. Decent space but still intimate.
Perhaps not as spacious as their Port Crane or Oakdale Commons locations, but a welcome addition to the growing Downtown Binghamton scene. It's a great place for the postgame parties for the Binghamton Bombers box lacrosse team.
Sat there waiting 30 minutes and nobody even acknowledged us, shortly after we left without being served.
Great beer, amazing service (Jess, Jordan, Maggie, and the whole gang), and nice atmosphere. Just a wonderful addition to downtown, and I’m glad to count it among my favorite neighborhood establishments. Cheers. 🍻
