Stopped in today with our family after touring the Carlsbad Cavern. This was the only restaurant option available. We arrived and there was one other table with two guests. Place was decorated cute, but there was a bad smell like the bathroom sewage was backed up. Our waitress took our orders quickly, the food arrived but we never seen her after that. My husband's top bun was completely burned on the bottom. We thought at first maybe it was the sauce, but when he checked the bottom one it was lightly toasted. We waited for our waitress to come see how we liked everything but didn't see her. We were short a set of silverware, water and napkins. I gave the silverware to my children and encouraged them to eat. I saw a few other people working there but no one checked on us. It was super odd as it was so slow. Another family came in. My family was about finished eating and I finally saw our waitress again. I asked her for the items she brought them over. I started eating and suddenly a different lady runs out saying get out but pay first our carbon monoxide alarm is going off. My husband and I just shook our head. Your life is in danger and we have ignored you the whole time, you are now eating but make sure you pay us and leave. Would not recommend.

My wife and I ate breomelet here, the 4 days we were in the area. The Meat Omlet is a carnivore's delight, especially with my favorite Chalula hot sauce. The coffee is perfect strength to kick start the body in the high altitude. We also had awesome burgers for lunch. Check out all the western art in the cafe. Best of all was the cashier and wait staff, Michele, Ronda & Sophia. They are also great resources about area attractions. If the Cactus was open for dinner we would have eaten all our meals there.

They are only open for breakfast and lunch but the food is FANTASTIC. I had the Bison Truffle Burger with truffle fries. So yummy and a perfect end to my trip to Carlsbad caverns. I highly recommend stopping in.

Fun little cafe right outside Carlsbad Caverns NP. In April they were only open for breakfast and lunch. We had the crunchy tacos and chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Both were tasty and filling.

My husband and I had the crunchy taco plate for lunch after visiting the cavern. The Spanish rice was undercooked. The refried beans had an odd texture and the ground beef for the tacos was not seasoned. Taco Bell would have been preferable. The service was ok but we were offered a discount on the meals due to the undercooked rice that was not applied to the bill. I do not recommend eating there.

Great little cafe to get some food before or after visiting Carlsbad Caverns. The breakfast burrito with bacon was huge and delicious! Had to stop in a few days later to get one to-go. Don’t forget the salsa! Nice waitress who doesn’t rush you and keeps the coffee coming.

Loved it here! Delicious food! We had the steal fingers and the Calabrian Sandwich (which is apparently a type of pepper?? Delicious but *very* hot). Their breading and gravy are delicious! They have gluten free buns! Service was quick and nice. They do serve White Claws, beer, and wine. Good decor and music, gorgeous stained glass windows. Clean bathrooms.

My family and I walked over after a night at Whites City Motel. The employees were very friendly. We all enjoyed our food (omelets and berry French Toast). The coffee was great. A really good start to the day all around.
